High School Spotlight: Pike Red Devils

The season is still a few months away, but with team workouts starting to take place soon, it is the perfect time to start previewing the season. In this series, we will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and notable games for the upcoming season. Howard is one of the top guards in the state that does not yet have a public offer but continues to show how talented of a backcourt prospect he is each time we at Prep Hoops Indiana watch him. At 6'1, Howard is as pure of scorer you will see and is an absolute playmaker off the dribble using his elite, dynamic speed to do so. He brings back 15.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game from a season ago. With a Pike team that is full of young talent, Howard is going to be looked at as the leader of this year's squad. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Players: [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller']/[player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It not far fetched to say that the Pike Red Devils may have the two 2027 in-state prospects that have the most potential in both [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill']. Starting with the latter, Hill is expected to see a major role increase from a season ago and is coming off one of the best summers out of the in-state 2027 prospects. The 6'10 big man prospect is one of the best rim protectors you will see and has some bouncy skill around the basket on the offensive end. Miller is a 6'3 guard that transferred into the state from the Overtime Elite program and will almost instantly make an impact in the back court of the Red Devils. If these two stay at Pike, they may develop into one of the best 1-2 punch duos you'll see in the state.
