This 5’8″-5’9″ guard from Crispus Attucks High School burst onto the scene as a sophomore earning himself a significant varsity role and averaging 5.7 points per game. Now he is set to be one of the featured pieces of a team that is no stranger to success. He looked good leading the Tigers at IU Team Camp over the weekend and, despite his small stature, is proving himself as one of the top rising junior guards in the Indianapolis area. Coaches often spend a lot of time talking themselves out of recruiting small guards only to have those players haunt them down the road. Jones is that type of player. You would rather have this guy with you than you against you. He jumped 10 more spots in this rankings update from #69 to #59.

This is the second time now that Jones has had a huge game with Prep Hoops Indiana in attendance. He had his big breakout coming off of the bench at the FORUM Tipoff Classic, but was excellent once again on Saturday night scoring 14 points off of the bench to help send Crispus Attucks into the Indianapolis City Alliance Tournament championship game. The quick, jitter-bug type scorer plays such an important role for the Tigers.
