Jayece is always improving whenever I watch him play. I was thoroughly impressed by his performance at the Prephoops Freshman Showcase. Jayece continues to be the hardest working player on the basketball court. He gives maximum effort on offense and defense. Whether it was going at the opposition with perimeter jump-shots or attacking the paint, Jayece was a legitimate scoring threat who needed to be stopped. There were moments in game three where he scored on tough dribble drives into the paint. He showed the strength to be able to take the hit, maintain his composure and score the basket. This is a major improvement in his basketball journey. Jayece seemed like a finesse player who avoided contact when I saw him as a seventh grader. Now he’s developing into a strong player who seeks the contact. On defense, he’s great at jumping the passing lanes and generating steals. Jayece is steadily improving. I believe he has the potential of being a great two-way player in the near future.

We haven’t had the chance to see Bellamy much in person, but that is also why we are so excited to have him be a part of our upcoming Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. The 6’1″ guard is a smooth operator off of the dribbling showcasing the ability to slice his way to the basket and finish at the end of his drives. His positional size and athleticism make him a tough matchup for opposing defenders. Bellamy will be one to follow at Lawrence Central High School in the coming years.
