Below is a review of the latest happenings on the recruiting scene in southeastern Pennsylvania (and beyond).

SEPA Recruiting News:

[player_tooltip player_id='2251320' first='Jerry' last='Johnson, Jr.'] – 6'3″ / La Academia Charter / [program_tooltip program_id='2428253' first='Team' last='Final Red'] EYCL / Combo Guard: After a monster summer that included by averaging 15.5 points, 4.7 assists and 5.5 rebounds per contest at the Philly HS Live sessions, Johnson is in every college coach's radar. That includes Big 5 schools like St. Joe's who last week had coaches at practice to watch Johnson.

[player_tooltip player_id='1287319' first='Ben' last='Natal'] – 6'1″ / 2025 / Central York / York Ballers / Point Guard: Natal may be the hottest point guard prospect in the area. Recently he has gone on several campus visits, including this past week when he took an unofficial visit to Colgate. Natal (1,000+ pt. scorer; 6A state champion) closed out the summer circuit by being chosen as the MVP of the MHC Summer Live Finale as well as a 1st Team All-MADE Hoops Circuit selection.

[player_tooltip player_id='1848532' first='Zamir' last='Parker-Barnes'] – 6'4″ / 2025 / Abington Friends / [program_tooltip program_id='2423459' first='PA' last='Hoops Academy'] / Combo Guard: Parker-Barnes is generating a great deal of interest from mid-majors and D2 schools. For instance, this past week he picked up an offer from Millersville University (D2). He is a high-level scoring wing who can operate as a primary ball handler too. Parker-Barnes is headed for a monster senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406770' first='Nasir' last='Ralls'] – 6'2” / 2026 / Archbishop Carroll / [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] HGSL / Combo Guard: Yesterday Ralls took a visit to Sacred Heart University. He is a three-level scoring machine with a smooth shooting stroke and next level athleticism. When is not producing points, Ralls creates for teammates off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='1962882' first='Mekhi' last='Robertson'] – 6'3” / 2027 / St. Joe's Prep / [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] EYBL / Shooting Guard: The former No. 1 ranked 2027 guard prospect in New Jersey (Life Center Academy) has torn up the competition at several fall ball events. So, it should not be a surprise that Villanova recently made him an offer. Robertson's combination of speed, hops, and scoring skills is unique.

[player_tooltip player_id='2028256' first='Brandon' last='Russell'] – 6'5″ / 2025 / Archbishop Ryan / NJ Beasts / Small Forward: Over the last few weeks Russell has continued to perform at a high-level as the No. 1 option at AR. The combination of his accurate three-point shooting and elusive off the dribble scoring make Russell brutally difficult to defend. He is also a plus rebounder at both ends. Earlier this week, St. Francis (PA) was on at Ryan to watch Russell practice.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576723' first='Mani' last='Sajid'] – 6'4″ / 2026 / Plymouth Whitemarsh / [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] EYBL / Shooting Guard: Sajid is the hottest shooting guard prospect in SEPA's Class of 2026. He can shoot the light out from deep, score in transition and on straight drives in the half-court. Sajid has already received offers Penn State, Temple, and LaSalle. Then this week coaches from Minnesota were on the PW campus to watch him practice.

SEPA Commitments:

[player_tooltip player_id='1865346' first='Nigel' last='Pierman'] – 6'6″ / 2025 / Friends Central / BW Elite / Small Forward: On WednesdayPierman announced via social media that he had committed to division three contender RIT. The Tigers are getting a long, athletic, and solidly built prospect who tortures opponents with his mid-range to the rim skill set. He ability to produce points from the elbows via jumpers or dribble drives to the cup is impressive. Pierman also possesses smooth footwork and a nice bag of interior scoring moves.

[player_tooltip player_id='1197611' first='KJ' last='Cochran'] – 6'4” / 2025 / Perkiomen School / K Low Elite / Point Guard: This 2nd Team All-State selection averaged 15.4 point and 5 rebounds per game last season. His recruiting picked up major momentum in recent month and last week Cochran pulled in an offer from Santa Clara University. Then yesterday Cochran announced he had committed to Santa Clara. Cochran is a major “get” for Steve Nash's alma mater.
