Yapi and Sierra Vista really took it to Legacy on Thursday. The attention he drew, opened up a ton of wide open shots for his teammates. The senior threw multiple alley-oop passes, and looked to be having some fun out there. I also liked his shot selection. His best shots of the night were a fade-away 3-pointer, and a smooth pull-up jumper. When you watch him play it doesn't appear that he tries to force anything and the game looks like it's in slow motion for him

McMorran torched Democracy Prep in impressive fashion on Thursday and put up 30 points. Perhaps his most impressive shot of the day was a half-court buzzer-beater right before halftime. Some players would be lucky to hit that far of a shot, but McMorran has limitless range and I've seen him hit from half-court a few times now. If he can keep scoring like he has in fall league, he may become one of the top scorers in the state this year.

Josiah did what he does best on Thursday, the junior got downhill with the ball and hit acrobatic lay-ups. His drives opened up a lot of opportunities for his teammates as well. At one point Democracy Prep was down 11, and "Jo's" effort really helped them come back to get the win. I liked how he competed even though it was only a fall league game.

Santonio transferred here from Kentucky and will be playing for Trinity Prep this year. The speedy guard is dangerous with the ball in his hands and I like how he plays with his eyes up. He does a nice job anticipating where the help is coming from, and found his teammates for a number of assists. From what I saw, he looks capable of putting up 10+ assists in some games this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1529853' first='Tai' last='Coleman'] was out of the lineup on Thursday, and Harris stepped up big time for the Blue Knights. He applied a lot of ball pressure throughout the game, which led to a few steals and easy lay ups for the freshman. I was also impressed by his finishing ability, he does a great staying in control of his body when he goes up with the ball. Expect him to continue to make an impact for Democracy Prep once the real season starts.
