did not initiate so much in their debut. Perhaps Cade and the team are looking to spring him off of screens and cuts. Martin was reliable and not rattled by ball pressure.

9/28/25: Powerful wing. Though he passes with the creativity and skills of a point guard, Travis projects as a 2-guard. Martin moved from Kenosha this year and plays football, basketball, and baseball. He can score from a few places on the floor and rarely forces shots.

Position wise was versatile through the weekend. Got to see him twice due to team making it the semi-finals today. Caught rhythm early converting on multiple takes to the rim. Had 12 in the first half and 10 more in the second for a game high 22. Pushes the ball off defensive boards. Will spray it out from inside. Plays with his back to the basket at times showing great footwork and really knows how to use his body to his advantage. Made a cool O board then behind the back pass to a cutter for assist. Dynamic player to watch.

Martin spent his summer sharpening his game. He will take on his freshmen campaign at St Catherine high school. The 6’1 wing has good strength and skill. He showed off his ability to break down his matchup easily. Martin was proactive with his playmaking after reaching the paint. His on time and on target passing really stood out to me.

In terms of production and entertainment value, there weren’t many better than Travis on Saturday. He has an endless bag of moves in his arsenal, able to break defenders down to get to the rim, or hit a step-back jumper from three. Travis may not be the quickest guard, but he’s so good at getting a step on his defender, and pinning him on his hip as he attacks the basket. As a guard Martin also possesses excellent footwork in the paint, and was able to combine that with his strength to score against opposing guards from the block.
