Gavin Harmon and TN’s best ’28 Point Guards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Which point guards have the highest ceiling of our Class of 2028?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Point guards are generally the shortest of the basketball players and shorter players typically reach basketball maturity earlier than bigs and wings. Reason? Once an athlete reaches his full height or gets close, then the adaptation rapidly occurs. Guards often stop growing vertically earlier. That is the case for almost all of the hoopers herein.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Numerous junior point men already accomplished so much. Nathan showed speed and poise while Harmon played physical and consistently hit shots. Both are now Top 100 with ambitions to climb higher. Southall transferred to Battle Ground Academy. In March, Bartlett played wonderful, high-octane basketball. Think Fury Road chase scene. Dunks, fast breaks. Lobs. Three's. Bartlett dismantled the 4A division and Braylon was key to their success. He remains the #1 point guard in 2028 thanks in large part to his high school season prowess.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Teammates <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2635100' first='Mike' last='Holloway'] </strong>and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='2635098' first='TJ' last='Duke'] </strong>comprised a very young backcourt that of the State Champion PCA (Providence Christian Academy) Lions. They were merely sophomores and yet their team won it all. Duke did not play point guard, but he projects as a PG1...kind of. Holloway is a classic lead guard with tremendous quickness. He did turn the ball over a bit in the State Tournament but generally plays fast and safely. Holloway must play fast to mitigate his height disadvantage. At the high school level, he does this effectively. Duke is much taller and a completely different type of guard. Explosive. Finisher. Duke reminds of Jaden Springer or Jeremy Jackson Jr. (Columbia Academy '25). PCA graduated three program stars (Christopher Washington Jr., Nickolai Anderson, Peyton Applegate). Without that frontcourt trio Holloway and Duke will enjoy greater scoring burdens. Added responsibilities. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3549172' first='Schuyler' last='Huck']</strong> was a bench player who saw sparse minutes with Knoxville Webb's 2025 State Championship team. Huck does not intend to play high school basketball this upcoming season though.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='2630064' first='Collin' last='Taylor']</strong> was not really a varsity hooper on that 2025 title team, but he was in the program. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3562839' first='Chaz' last='Wood']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3562861' first='Albert' last='Harris'] </strong>both dressed for Fulton's 2025 State Champion Falcons. While both Chaz and "Albie" played significantly more in Fulton's 2026 run the team ultimately lost a riveting final to Alcoa.
