dealt decently with PCA’s sophomore guard tandem of T.J. Duke and Mike Holloway. Crump scored 19 points on 7-18 shooting. His shot selection needs work and yet 5-12 from deep reflects the excellent outside shooting touch thanks to his lightning quick release. PCA turned the ball over a disturbing 14 times. Crump,

3/6/26: Not an elite shooter, but close. When his shot selection improves Crump will be a 25 ppg scorer in high school. He already has the floater from 8′ in his bag. The lefty is legit. You will see him on a college roster in two years. Crump torched PCA for 19 points on 18 in the State Semifinal loss. He made five of 12 three-pointers but needs to get to 45-50% from 3-point land in high school and can. Projects as an all-purpose college guard though he lacks ideal size for a college combo. Crump played spirited and solid on-ball defense against a team of trees. Yes, they had a pair of sophomore guards (Hollaway/Duke), but he prevented them from easy layups. Nice player. Promising future.

1/29/26: Star scoring sophomore Carson Crump Carson Crump 5'10" | PG St. George's | 2028 State TN is very quick and truly uses that advantage to its fullest. FACS face-guarded him to moderate success, but his activity away from the basketball generally frees him up to receive the pass. Once Crump gets the pill he goes to work, changing direction at an elite level. One-hundred twenty eight of his 271 shots were three-point attempts. Though he loves to get to the lane Crump clearly will take the outside looks (37%). That is an area of strength though he will want to improve the efficiency over time. Defensively, Crump is more aggressive as an off-ball defender than on. Through 21 games Crump is averaging 16.4 ppg with 47 made 3’s.
