You could make a strong argument that Brown IV was the most impressive prospect in the gym on Sunday at IU-Indy. He certainly was on the short list of top prospects. The 6’6″ wing/forward had a lot of success utilizing his fluid athleticism to drive it right and elevate to finish over the defense. He was excellent as an at-rim and intermediate range finisher. Brown IV also flashed his versatile defensive ability. It was easy to see why he is ranked as a Top 20 prospect in Illinois’ Class of 2028.

The Homewood Flossmoor PF went to work in multiple back to back possessions in the team’s opening game of the day. He consistently stayed aggressive on both sides of the ball playing with a noticeable determination. His offensive versatility stands out with stretching the floor for shot making ability along with using his long strides to get downhill and score above the rim. Brown flashed touch from the midrange game around the 15 foot marker and on a runner in the lane. He brings strong activity levels to the glass helping secure tough rebounds. Brown has the tenacity to immediately push the ball himself striving for transition buckets. His high activity level provides a multitude of tools to impact in various settings.

John is a man among boys when he gets into the open floor. Had a couple power dunks in transition with one being for a lob that he stuffed home. Possesses plus bounce at the rim. He’s all of 6’7 that brings along true wing span as well. His hands and feet are still coming along a bit but athletically the versatility and dynamic ability are there already. Possesses good verticality on long defensive stances to keep battling to win the play. Came up with multiple clean blocks and continued to change shot shapes on driver finishes. Brings these skills playing against similar size.

John had his intriguing potential on display last night in a big win for AyoDos Elite. The 6’6-6’7 forward is extremely long and moves well at his size, making him an impact player on the defensive end. He could move his feet out on the perimeter, or slide into position to block/alter shots at the rim. He handles it better than most players his size, and was used as an extra ball handling option at times to help break the press. John runs the floor like a gazelle for transition opportunities, and showed flashes of impressive footwork on the block.
