Here we examine post prospects in 2028 that we believe are primed to make a big leap this upcoming season!

[player_tooltip player_id='2395586' first='Amir' last='Beasley'] (Danville)

Now is the time for Beasley to take his game to the next level. Long and lanky lefty four man has everything you could ask for physically and athletically. Uber bouncy southpaw can deck it and play above the rim as a finisher along with being a dynamic defender. If he can refine the jumper he could be one of the best players in central Illinois.

[player_tooltip player_id='2540205' first='John' last='Brown IV'] (Homewood Flossmoor)

Brown is a long and rangy four man who has been on the radar for a while and we have been waiting to see him make that jump. It could come this season! He is a bouncy power forward that can stretch with his shooting, is a legit rim protector, and has some touch around the cup. Runs the floor well.

[player_tooltip player_id='3723982' first='Lameck' last='Hassan'] (Romeoville)

Hassan has broken out post summer enrolling at Romeoville and impressing our scouting staff. He has legit size, athleticism, and massive upside to impact a Spartans team stacked with guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2632084' first='Daniel' last='Salkauskas'] (Brother Rice)

Salkauskas has elevated his game when we saw him over the summer with Brother Rice. He looked like the player we thought he might be when we saw him before entering high school. Frame is starting to fill out. Elite level perimeter shot maker that poured them in at a high rate while being able to handle and pass as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436293' first='Cole' last='Christian'] (Lane Tech)

Skilled four man is a player many are a fan of in the Chicago area as a CPS prospect that could really emerge this year. Toughness, skill, and rebounding around the hoop make him a breakout candidate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2751050' first='Ayden' last='Foley'] (Okawville)

Foley took a big step forward playing for the Bears over the summer. Like the touch and footwork around the hoop. He can score with his back to the basket, run the floor, and flashes as a face up player. The growth in his game over the summer came in his toughness as a rebounder and rim protector.

[player_tooltip player_id='3454780' first='Amauri' last='Fenton'] (Belleville West)

Fenton is a sleeper out of the metro east than many do not know about. Caught our attention last high school season and continued to trend in the right direction when we saw him in June with the Maroons. Strong frame, rebounds well, and is a pretty efficient scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2433704' first='Oliver' last='Kerrigan'] (Whitney Young)

Kerrigan emerged in June as the primary interior option for the Dolphins. Active post that gets on the glass and can score down low and facing up.

[player_tooltip player_id='2390523' first='Evan' last='Okey'] (Libertyville)

Okey will replace Wegrzyn inside for Libertyville. Similar type skill set as he is effective playing around the hoop, rolling to the rim, and using touch off the glass.

Names Outside of Top 100 to Watch for Leaps in Games as Junior
[player_tooltip player_id='3673856' first='Paxton' last='Meadows'] (O'Fallon)
[player_tooltip player_id='2422336' first='Sean' last='Drynan'] (Aurora Christian)
[player_tooltip player_id='3576962' first='Sam' last='Ogeto'] (Mt. Carmel)
