Barnes is just different and watching him play is seriously a treat. His handles are silky smooth and the way he sees the floor is next level. He showed off the finesse of his game threading passes through traffic and pulling up with that confident jumper. In every game he stood out as the best player on the floor. He found scoring chances out of nowhere, either blowing by defenders to finish at the rim or knocking down the three. Barnes dealt with pressure all weekend and it did not phase him. Whether it was a double team, tight defense, or a big shot he had the answer. Barnes stays calm, doesn’t force it, and always seems to make the right decision. Barnes is a tenacious point of attack defender, constantly working to force his opponent into difficult situations. Working to send opponents into their off-hand or into tight fringes of the court, the guard competes on that end a bit more than most at this stage. On the opposite end, he looked to spark fast breaks, getting to the rim more often than not.
