put on a scoring clinic against the Eagles, letting it rain for 20 points, shooting a lights-out 50% from distance. Not only was his shot on point, but Lane’s rebounding was a monumental x-factor for the Falcons, chalking up 18 boards (12 of them being offensive). The 6’3 SG once again shows us why he’s an elite all-around threat.

Lane will be one of the premier scorers in the conference and the engine for Highlands Ranch. He shoots it at a high level, spaces the floor, controls tempo, and reads doubles to make the right play. Every night, the attention will be on him, and he’s already shown he’s built for that responsibility. Lane is a true go-to option who dictates how far his team can go and is a must-watch player all season. We expect him to be a player ready to leap this season.

Mason can go. He plays the right way, scores at will, and takes exactly what the defense gives him. But at times, the game just calls for him to take over, and he does just that. I’m willing to call my shot early when it comes to Mason. As a sophomore, he led his team in scoring putting up 12.7 points a game. I believe he will be a 20-point-per-game scorer. He knocks down the 3-ball consistently, rebounds strong and battles on both ends of the floor. We saw him standout this summer, and we’re expecting a big year from him. He makes the jump in the rankings, and I believe by the end of the season will make another big jump.

Mason is a player that we’re high on heading into his junior year, and we want to see if he’s able to reach new heights with his play. Mason was one of the few players to lead his team in points in the state in his sophomore season and will be tasked with carrying the scoring load yet again. He made 2nd Team All-Conference as a sophomore and has bigger aspirations. We do think that he’s up for the task as the 6’4 wing is a three-level scorer with the mentality to take over. A big day at the event might allow him to make a big jump as we want to see what he looks like in this kind of setting.

is next up in Colorado and will have a huge season come this fall, and it’s no accident. Lane has developed his jumpshot into a form of art, and creates a fast-paced flow of offense when he’s on the floor. Confident and collected, Lane constantly makes the right decision with the ball. Lane’s ability to attack the paint and step through defenders has grown tremendously, so expect him to be a problem for defenses in each game he plays.

Lane has been a success story with Highlands Ranch, bringing a smooth handle and shotmaking abilities to elevate his game as needed. Taking on more and more scoring opportunities of late, this group is relying upon the sophomore guard heavily, an early sign that he is set to be one of the better up and coming perimeter playmakers in this class at 12.4 points per game for the 7-7 team.

doesn’t have an ounce of quit in him. Lane’s shooting has improved immensely as he knocked down several beyond the arc daggers. Additionally, Lane attacked the rim with purpose, ending up with him constantly at the free throw line. Lane’s footwork is what impressed me the most, as he’s one of the most patient players on the hardwood.

is a polished SG who can get a bucket whenever he wants. Lane can duck his shoulder down and finish through contact. Additionally, Lane can hit three balls consistently, and make defenses pay.

Lane’s smooth shotmaking from all three levels alongside the strong frame makes him a refined scoring option early on. Comfortable against ball pressure, the guard can play the lead or off-ball roles as needed. At local showcase events in prior months, the guard stood out within those in attendance. Additionally a proactive rebounder, he worked to create box outs and leverage his positional size to his advantage.

Lane impressed for this group, bringing a smooth handle and versatile shotmaking versus pressure. Truly a three level scorer, the guard contributed shot attempts from everywhere. Bringing one of the most consistent floaters from anyone in this age group. Adept at contributing off-balance attempts through contests, Lane was about as impressive as anyone on this team. Lane shows plenty of upside, given his ability to be a threat on or off the ball, although he shows signs as a lead guard in due time.
