Valentine rose in the final rankings because of his dominant, consistent impact throughout a standout senior season that ended in a state championship. Averaging 13.2 points and 10 rebounds, he established himself as a massive force inside, controlling the paint on both ends. He consistently produced, finishing strong around the rim and owning the glass night in and night out. More importantly he delivered in big moments during the postseason, proving he could anchor a winning team. That combination of production, physical presence and winning impact made his rise undeniable. He also brought leadership and toughness, setting the tone physically and mentally while consistently outworking opponents in critical stretches of games

is a double-double machine who never lets off the gas pedal. At 6’5, Valentine brings in 10 RPG along with 13.2 PPG. Additionally, he sits at 2.8 APG, ranking third on the Jaguars, proving that big men aren’t afraid to swing the rock and accumulate key assists. The championship game against Ralston Valley showcased a similar narraive, with Valentine crashing for every board coming his way. To cap a senior season off with a state championship win is the ultimate flex he’ll always carry with him. Valentine was a crucial piece to the puzzle for Rock Canyon, and his contributions to the program will be etched in history to remember.

was an all-around beast for the Jaguars, who couldn’t be contained across all levels of the floor. Shooting 5/8 from the interior and winding up at the free-throw line often, Valentine absorbs contact and invites opposing fouls his way. Scoring, however, is just scratching the surface of Valentine’s impact. Acquiring a crucial 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and a block, Valentine’s presence was felt by every player who laced up. Staying in between passing lanes and communicating well on screens, the 6’5 superstar continues to show up and show out.

Valentine is a big man full of upside who has stood out every single time we’ve seen him. He’s a true defensive force in the middle, keeps plays alive on the glass, and slows everything down around the rim. He brings emotion, toughness, and isn’t afraid of contact. Offensively, he runs the floor, slashes, and goes right back up off rebounds. He’s a legitimate X-factor and one of the most impactful bigs in the conference. Huge piece for Rock Canyon.

Valentine is a player that we’ve yet to see a bad game from. He’s very consistent, and he does the little things that lead to wins. He has great size and uses it as he cuts, screens, rebounds, battles inside, and stays active on both ends. With how Rock Canyon plays, he doesn’t need plays called for him, as he creates scoring through movement and physicality. One game he chipped in efficiently; the next he took over on the boards and finished everything around the rim. He’s a glue guy but also one of their top players, and we saw that with his performance at the event where he finished with double digits in both games, including a 15-point performance.

can get them there. Valentine was an excellent rebounder who showed flashes in his junior season, but he seems to have made a jump this summer as he’s been one of the best Forwards/Bigs that we got to see this summer. He took over in games as a rebounding machine that went right up for finishes, ran the break, and finished in transition, and facilitated the offense. He does not have to have plays ran for him to be effective. Defensively, he’s stout and defends bigger players, can step out on guards, and competes on that end of the floor. Coaches have been checking in on him, and this is another opportunity to show them a bit heading into the seasons. Eyes should be on him, and will be if he heads out to our event.

Valentine has had two straight weekends in a row where he has looked like one of the best big men in the state, and that means something to me. Not many big men compete on the block like he does. he is strong and agile, productive, and has a great motor with his size. He is strong and multi-dimensional and not afraid to get his face in there to compete. He is a catalyst for the offense as a willing passer; he finishes through contact with either hand and also knocked down a few floaters in this one. With other talented bigs around him, he provides them with a bit of everything as he scores, defends, and puts himself in positions to score. I got asked a few times about him from college coaches that were in the building and have stamped him as one of the biggest risers in he class as he will surely play at the next level. Get Valentine stock now while you can. Another great weekend for him.

Rock Canyon is going to be one of the state’s best teams this year as they pay for one another and can score with the best of them. What separated them at Colorado Live was their ability to do the little things. That’s where Kai came in. Kai is a difference-maker as he’s the connector. He was getting blocks, making smart reads on passes, and was a high-IQ wing who made winning plays. He’s able to push the break to start the offense after a rebound, he defended both guards and bigs, and made plays that didn’t appear in the boxscore. Kai’s a player we certainly want to watch more of and will go out of our way to watch.

Valentine is a pivotal name within Rock Canyon’s rotations, a physical forward who has a knack for grabbing rebounds. His effectiveness in the paint both as a rebounder and timely help defender are imperative towards maintaining consistency in the paint, particularly against the variety of physical frontcourt opponents within this Continental League.
