All-Open Gym Team: Part 3
Village Christian Guard Junub Char: He may be the highest ranked prospect on the team at this point and you can see why but just watching him for a few moments. At about 6’5 he can score the ball, facilitate, and defend against quick guards. He has a maturity about his game that you have to love and is a battled tested player as he has matched up with some of the top players in the country in the past. MM and HM program are showing strong interest at this point.
Terry Sanford HS Guard Malik Johnson: If the Bulldogs want to be successful, they will need the leadership from Malik, he’s logged major minutes since he was a freshman and has been to the state championship game two out of three seasons. Without a doubt, he is a high major guard but Mid-Major programs may be able to get a steal. His end to end speed and athletic ability makes him a very difficult player to defend, he can make difficult shots look easy and plays the game with a confidence that all the top players have.
New Life Christian Guard/Forward Arshon King: Arshon or ‘‘KK’’ as he known by many, showed his talent throughout, at 6’5 with nice wing skills. He clearly is a player that catches your eye. He has impressive athletic ability and did a good job of finishing above the rim, once he gets into top shape, he will turn a lot of heads and college coaches will definitely be in to see him.
Trinity Christian Wing Joey Baker: Joey is fresh off a visit to Duke as he picked up an offer from the Blue Devils recently, schools like Kansas, NC State, and many others have offered as well. He can shoot the ball from deep, attack the basket and has been playing varsity basketball since he was an 8th grader. Look for Baker to have a bigtime season as he looks to challenge for the #1 spot in the 2019 recruiting class.
