It's time to highlight some of the top performers from the Curtis Shootout this past weekend. These guys were leaders for the squads, making plays only they could make and showing off some high-level potential that will no doubt have them among the top players in their classes next winter.

Ghoreishi has been a big riser this spring and continued it this weekend as he suited up with Mt Spokane. He brought a lot of size to their team, blocking several shots at the rim, following shots and cleaning up plays on both ends, and stepping out to knock down big 3s. He's got big 3&D potential but also shows some skill in the midrange and closer in with some nice touch and footwork.

Harris was easily one of the top players at the Shootout and looks to have taken a huge leap over the spring. He took control in both games of theirs I saw, not just leading with his play but being vocal and providing a commanding presence out there. He was draining shots from behind the arc, was much stronger with the ball and using his dribble to both attack and deal with pressure, and was scoring with a lot more variety and consistency than last high school season. Harris also showed some nice vision, lacing a few passes through the defense from the top and looking like a true D-I prospect.

Armendariz was a constant threat with the ball, taking guys off the bounce, using some quickness and strength to battle his way to the rim, and showing a nice stroke from outside. He was crafty, played with a high pace, and showed he could score in different ways from each level. He was their main creator out there and will play a big role as Grandview looks to make their way back to the 2A state title game this winter.

Lee is one of those scorers who knows what he brings to his team and isn't deterred by misses. He missed a few early shots against Grandview but kept finding space to let it fly and eventually started to find his rhythm. He's also a kid who won't let misses affect the rest of his game, and found ways throughout that game to impact play with his passing and defense. They started to run a halfcourt trap later in the game and Lee was instrumental in forcing several turnovers that shifted the momentum in a big spot.

He's a dynamic scoring guard for the Vikings who will lead the attack this winter, but Morris showed another level to his play this weekend with his ability to get teammates involved. He executed precision passes from varying lengths and positions to get his guys the ball in position to score and make plays. He'll have the ball in his hands even more this winter and showed how he can be that dual-threat scoring and passing.

One of the biggest breakouts from last season, Davis led Bremerton on a big run through the 2A tournament and had his Knights fighting once again this weekend. They played a close game against Camas where Davis displayed an incredibly polished and well-rounded attack. He was sinking shots from 3, hitting defenders with hesi's and crosses that opened up wide lanes to the hoop, and found shots off the ball with good pops and tight curls off screens. He's a dynamic scorer and should help lead Bremerton to another strong season in 2024-25.

Harshman is a different breed at point who was once again keeping the Annie Wright Gators running at optimal performance this weekend. He got where he wanted to go, showed the patience and skill to work his man just about wherever, and continued to play like one of the top point guards in the state. He is never not doing something. Always reading the game, always preparing for the next move, and operating the game like a chess board to come out on top.

Wiggins has been a defensive stalwart this spring and should be one of the better defenders in the state next season. His ability to move his feet, stay in front, and pick his spots when to gamble allows him to effectively guard just about any player out there. He was looking good on the offensive end too, hitting some outside shots, working efficiently with his touches, staying composed attacking the hoop, and not wasting dribbles or time out there.
