He’s one of the most prolific scorers in the state and his ability to put the ball in the bucket is a big reason why Glacier Peak is into the quarterfinals today. He was scoring from all three levels in the win over Arlington. Crafty finishes in the paint, stretching the floor from 3-point, and converting some tough fadeaways in the midrange. He led the game with 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting.

Lee really burst onto the scene last season with a record-breaking 49-point game and a deep run at the 4A state tournament. He’s now not only one of the top players in the 4A, but one of the top players in his class, and has Glacier Peak eyeing a run at a state title. He’s one of the most electric scorers in the state and has shown he’s capable of creating 10-0 runs on his own and turning a game on its head.

Lee is one of those scorers who knows what he brings to his team and isn’t deterred by misses. He missed a few early shots against Grandview but kept finding space to let it fly and eventually started to find his rhythm. He’s also a kid who won’t let misses affect the rest of his game, and found ways throughout that game to impact play with his passing and defense. They started to run a halfcourt trap later in the game and Lee was instrumental in forcing several turnovers that shifted the momentum in a big spot.

After watching Glacier Peak more this season and really watching Jo play, I can confidently say he is a top player in the class, maybe even the state. The game comes so natural to the lefty guard. He has a lights out deep shot, can knock down a pull up jumper easily, and gets to the rim smoothly with his craftiness on the court. D1 coaches should have their eyes on Lee now, before his stock really rises.

Lee is easily one of the most improved players of this season. If you have any doubts, go back and watch their district championship game against Mount Si last Friday. Lee was scoring from all over the court, confidently launching quick shots in the possession, patiently working his way around the defense and to the hoop and making some high difficulty shots inside. He was draining shots off the catch, off the dribble, behind the arc, and in the midrange, even drawing fouls on two 3-point attempts. Lee has a lot of ways he can get defenders off balance and create space, but also has the touch to hit highly difficult shots when blanketed. He’ll be one of the top players entering the tournament as they take on Davis tomorrow evening.
