HoopSource's City of Roses Tournament took place over the weekend and in the top 17U Division, it was Dynasty capturing the a tournament title for the second week in a row. We had the opportunity to drop by Clackamas Community College to catch some of the action and here are some of the top performers we saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='1387877' first='Brayden' last='Barron'], Dynasty (2025 Barlow)

As usual, Barron was difficult for defenses to match up with due to his length and athleticism. Operating mainly from the perimeter, he was able to find lanes to cut to the basket and if he didn't finish on the first attempt, he used his quick leap to grab the offensive rebound and drop in the follow floater. He cleared every defensive rebound in his area and threw down some fast break dunks to boot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368245' first='Mason' last='Bierbrauer'], Dynasty (2025 Barlow)

Where Bierbrauer really makes a difference is his nose for the ball on the offensive boards. In the championship game, it was his continuous pounding of the glass that led to second and third chance opportunities which helped Dynasty erase a double-digit halftime deficit on its way to the win. The mid-range pull-up jumper was also falling for the rising senior forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368276' first='Cole' last='Hammack'], Dynasty (2025 North Marion)

With the injury to teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1368227' first='Owen' last='Nathan'], Hammack has been running the point for Dynasty and has been doing a great job of pushing the pace. As usual, the guard has done a good job of balancing out not only scoring for himself and finding others, but also whether or not to attack the hoop or fire away from long distance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1379047' first='Keenan' last='Reckamp'], [program_tooltip program_id='2248856' first='Players' last='Only'] (2025 Southridge)

Reckamp had his shot set on automatic, knocking down open threes while also using the dribble to create space for himself for some mid-range floaters. He made some nice passes ahead on the break to find teammates streaking to the hoop for score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1643228' first='Patrick' last='Kilfoil'], [program_tooltip program_id='2248856' first='Players' last='Only'] (2025 Jesuit)

Shots and playmaking for Kilfoil in the game we watched. He was sharp off the catch-and-shoot but also was quick off the bounce to get to the basket for some scores at the hoop. Good decisions with the basketball on the break as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2348755' first='Colby' last='Getting'], [program_tooltip program_id='2248856' first='Players' last='Only'] (2025 Portland Christian)

Getting dominated the inside in the action we witnessed, using some nifty post moves and a very soft touch to convert buckets both near the hoop and in the painted area. He was dominant on the offensive glass for putbacks as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2342862' first='Javier' last='Diaz'], G.R.I.T. (2025 Tualatin)

An area where Diaz has an advantage over most defenders is in physical strength, and he nimbly bullied his way in the post for high percentage shots in the lane without fouling. The rising senior held his ground on the defensive end and did a nice job on the boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2819964' first='Luke' last='Jackson'], G.R.I.T. (2025 Marshfield)

A player we had not previously seen but were immediately intrigued by was Jackson. Standing a very lean 6-foot-7, the rising senior is actually more of a perimeter player and his left-handed shooting stroke looked pretty good out past the three-point line.
