The Hoopsource West Coast Spring Showcase took place this past weekend and we had the opportunity to drop by to watch a number of top local teams in action. While our focus was mainly on the 17U D1 division, we also caught some games at the other levels. Here's a look at some more of the top performers that we saw.

One of the top bucket-getters we saw all weekend was McKelvey. The Benson junior wing was very aggressive getting to the cup for scores for Net Worth and was extremely effective in transition, including a statement two handed slam on the break. He showed off a soft touch on his mid range jumper too.

With his length and athleticism, there are things on the court that Breaux can do that most others in the state cannot. The Wilsonville junior wing had a number of high-flying plays above the rim including rebounds out of his area and recovery blocked shots, but also was able to convert a number of smooth jumpers.

In one of his first tournaments back from injury, Mason looked good in the action we saw of him playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2248856' first='Players' last='Only'] at the tournament. Playing up at 17U at the West Coast Spring Showcase, the sophomore was rim-running for buckets both off the pass and off offensive rebound putbacks, and in the halfcourt setting he was also strong with his back-to-the-basket game and face-up drives to the hoop. He noted that he'll be at West Linn next year.

One of the hardest workers in the post we saw on Saturday was Thomas. Playing with the Oregon Magic, the Grand View Christian junior fought hard for position down low and was able to earn some tough buckets through all sorts of contact. Great motor on the boards and D too.

When we've watched Lee play with [program_tooltip program_id='2948386' first='Oregon' last='Flash'] earlier this spring, he seemed content with helping run the offense and be available to catch and knock down open jumpers. In Sunday's action we watched he was still doing these things, but was also more aggressive going to the rack, using his strong body to fend off defenders and get some nice finishes around the hoop.
