Grant Wardenaar Grant Wardenaar 6'5" | PG/SG Royal | 2027 State WA consistently flashed athleticism and explosiveness throughout the weekend. The slashing wing attacked the basket aggressively and finished plays with confidence in transition. He used his speed and length effectively around defenders while creating pressure downhill. Wardenaar also stayed active defensively and competed hard on the perimeter. His energy level remained high throughout games. Several of his athletic finishes immediately energized the gym. Wings with his athletic profile always carry intriguing upside.

Proved he can stack buckets throughout his sophomore season and continued to show some nice touch in the midrange area, both with some traditional jumpers and turnaround, but also with some quick stop and pop leaners and was able to read the help defender coming from under the rim to time his pull-ups. Also made some impressive blocks on jump shooters that really highlighted his length and potential on the defensive end.

Grant’s game already reminds me one of a college level player. He has a solid build, being strong and sturdy when playing off his two feet. Wardenaar is patient on the court, using his body to keep defenders at a distance so he can either explode by them or rise up and hit the jumper. He is going to have a huge season for Royal.
