The Farmville Central Jaguars are back at it again and are one of the favorites to take home the 2A state title which doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone in the state. MJ leads the team in scoring, steals and assist, while helping the Jags reach a record of 25-1.
His performance in their conference championship game of 34 Points against PC gave his team the win and another championship trophy for the EC Mariners. If his team hopes to make a deep playoff run, they will need this same type of performances from not only Shamel but also Charles Matheka Charles Matheka 5’11” | SG East Carteret | 2024 State NC who has shown that he can step up and have some big-time games as well.
After struggling through certain parts of the season, The Bulldogs made a nice run in the conference tournament and will look to build off of that in the state playoffs. If they hope to make some noise in the playoffs, they will need some big games from this young man in the rebounding and blocks departments which he has shown that he is more than capable of.
The UNC signee will look to lead his team to a state championship in his final year of being in a Northwood uniform. Despite being such a highly ranked player, you have to love the fact that he looks to make the correct play for his team at all times.

Throughout the year he has put together nice production for his team and will be one of the key players for The Knights making a deep playoff run. The duo of Chase and Hezekiah Adams are both underclassmen but led their team with 23 Wins.
Averaging just under 20 Points and 10 rebounds for the season, he uses his height, wingspan and athletic ability to be very productive. He can create some issues in various matchups and his physical tools make him a very intriguing prospect to colleges.
