He showcased his versatile game on both ends, as he was finishing at a high rate inside, dropping some dimes out of the post and off the drive, and was cleaning up the glass on the defensive end. Nearly finishing with a 2u003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003e0/20 stat-line, Jorgensen's rebounding ability limited any second chances that South was able to get, and it really helped Washburn dictate the pace of the game. The lefty was able to get into the paint, force a defender to step up on him, and deliver a no-look pass that no one else in the gym would have been able to make. He started off the game with three deep 3's in the first half, forcing the defense to play even tighter on him well beyond the arc. He then adjusted in the second half and was able to get defenders trailing as he came off of screens, and instead of taking threes he was pinning his defender on his hip to attack the basket or get into a mid-range shot. Defensively he has good instincts to jump passing lanes and pick up steals, with one of those steals resulting in a transition dunk. His fluidity and change of speeds at 6'3 makes him a difficult matchup, as he can extend and finish over smaller players with ease, but bigger wings usually can't stay in front of him. The jumper wasn't falling early so CJ made it a priority to get to the rim, and was doing so in the half-court and in transition. Showcased impressive body control as he was just hanging in the air and extending to finish from some difficult angles off the glass. He's often defending taller players, and has the scrappiness to fight for good position and to find a body to box out as shots go up. His long wingspan helps him rebound the ball as well. Offensively he's a gifted finisher, and was working hard for his opportunities as he sprinted the floor in transition, made some nice off-ball cuts, and competed for offensive rebounds. He started to really get going in the second half as he tried to help Cooper recover from a deficit, as he was weaving in and out of traffic to get to the rim in transition. Wicks showed good instincts to jump passing lanes and pick up steals, and from there he had the speed to takeoff and get to the rim. Does a nice job of playing off two feet around the basket to go up and finish on-balance against taller players. He has a ton of length and moves effortlessly at that size, with some explosive pop around the basket. Showcased some soft touch around the rim for a few finishes in traffic, and was a main rebounding presence inside for Cooper.
