‘s ability to attack the basket unlocked plenty of offense for him throughout the course of both July live periods. Whitlock’s aggressive approach in getting downhill not only allowed him to finish around the basket but also generate ample trips to the free throw line. Whitlock also contributed in the rebounding department, crashing both the offensive and defensive glass consistently and rebounding the basketball well for his position.

Whitlock did a little bit of everything for his East Coast Cyclones squad. He was aggressive on the glass coming down with a handful of rebounds. He converted on several scoring chances inside and made his fair share of trips to the foul line. He continues to progress and his move to Peddie should only help his transition to college a lot smoother. He also found others for scoring chance of their own with his passing. Whitlock is tracking as a scholarship prospect.

Whitlock is an all around utility wing who has no problems doing the little things for the good of his team. He found others for scoring chances. Whitlock uses his length to alter shots and has great timing when going up to contest a shot. He plays with a great motor. Intrigued to see how he develops playing in the MAPL.

had a good showing offensively and defensively for the Rams in their season opener. Offensively, Whitlock showcased his shooting ability and knocked down open threes from the perimeter. Defensively, Whitlock used his high motor in combination with his length to get his hands on passes, disrupt the ball handler and effectively contest shot attempts. Whitlock’s aggressive attacking of the basket also helped him get to the free throw line and convert at the charity stripe.

A heavy rim attacker that looks to get going on dribble drives, Whitlock is a wing that loves to operate finishing at the rim. Couple that with a perimeter skillset that consists mostly of catch and shoot threes and mid-range pull ups, Whitlock has a pretty efficient approach to scoring the basketball. Defensively, Whitlock plays with a high motor and uses his length and active hands to play the passing lanes pretty well and be an effective defender.
With a scoring skillset that’s pretty efficient and good intangibles to be an active defender, look for Whitlock to be an effective two way player this year for the Hightstown Rams.
