As the season begins the second half of the year, meaning league play begins and games begin to mean a lot more to teams. For this article, I will be taking a look into the 4A class and see which teams are sitting on top of each conference standings and which teams are potential favorites to play deep into the state tournament.

Big 9 Conference:

Davis HS - RPI: 3 - Record: 11-1 (4-0) - Davis is led by their strong senior class ([player_tooltip player_id='1688028' first='Finnegan' last='Anderson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1450565' first='Blake' last='Garza']). Their one loss was a close one to Eastside Catholic, 63-69. I don't think they'll lose a game for the rest of the regular season.

West Valley HS - RPI: 9 - Record 8-2 (4-0) - West Valley lost their first game of the year to Kamiakin, 44-62, but haven't looked back since. [player_tooltip player_id='1450996' first='Landen' last='Birley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1587955' first='Parker' last='Mills'] have been leading this team that won't be going anywhere anytime soon, with the roster only containing 1 senior.

Sunnyside HS - RPI: 22 - Record: 8-6 (3-2) - Sunnyside started off their season a little bit rough. They went back and forth with winning games and losing games before rattling off a 5 game win streak that was just broken in a game against Davis. They are an undersized team who will look to cause havoc and create upsets along the way.

Other teams: Eastmont HS - 5-5 (2-2), Eisenhower HS - 4-6 (1-3), Moses Lake - 3-9 (1-4), Wenatchee - 0-11 (0-4)

GSHL 4A Conference:

Camas HS - RPI: 17 - Record: 7-4 (2-0) - Camas has had an up and down season but they are on a 3 game winning streak and are ready to get into their groove as the second half of the season begins. [player_tooltip player_id='1450989' first='Beckett' last='Currie'] is an insanely impressive guard who scores the ball very well. [player_tooltip player_id='1450988' first='Jace' last='Vanvoorhis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1863196' first='Ethan' last='Harris'] are fantastic complimentary players.

Skyview HS - RPI: 24 - Record: 6-6 (2-2) - Skyview has played some extremely tough non conference games, including going out of the state to play in a holiday tournament. This will pay off for them in the long-run when the games only continue to get tougher down the stretch. [player_tooltip player_id='1685505' first='Malakai' last='Weimer'], [player_tooltip player_id='1450960' first='Jaxson' last='Filler'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2173011' first='Gavin' last='Packer'] are some of the guys playing big roles on this squad.

Battle Ground HS - RPI: 28 - Record: 5-8 (2-2) - Battle Ground is led by [player_tooltip player_id='1837766' first='Trey' last='Spencer'] who is a player who scores the ball at all 3 levels smoothly and makes big impacts on each game. They also had a tough non-conference stretch and are looking to shake off their current 3 game losing streak.

Union HS - RPI: 32 - Record: 6-8 (0-3) - Union is an extremely tall team, having many players who stand over 6'2" on their roster. They have had a back and forth season and will look to start finding their rhythm as league play starts.

KingCo Crest Conference:

Mount Si HS - RPI: 7 - Record 9-1 (7-0) - Mount Si's one loss is to a very solid California team, but they also defeated 3 others when they went down there for their holiday tournament. They are a top team in the entire state and are filled with talent that is led by [player_tooltip player_id='1450486' first='Trevor' last='Hennig'], [player_tooltip player_id='1450494' first='Blake' last='Forrest'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1685491' first='Lattimore' last='Ford'].

Skyline HS - RPI: 13 - Record 7-4 (6-1) - Skyline has a couple losses that they wish they could get back. They are still a top team in the 4A class, but can't afford many more losses on their resumé. [player_tooltip player_id='1450610' first='Caden' last='Culver'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1978875' first='Atticus' last='Boba'] are the leaders of this squad. Culver is a top scorer in the conference, being able to sink deep shots with ease.

Other Teams: Issaquah HS - 6-5 (3-4), Eastlake HS - 1-7 (1-6), Newport HS - 2-10 (1-7)

KingCo Crown Conference:

Woodinville HS - RPI: 15 - Record: 8-3 (7-1) - Woodinville dropped their first 2 games of the season, both of which I believe they win if they were to play those games again. [player_tooltip player_id='1440884' first='Jaiden' last='Blackmon'] has been playing out of his mind for the team, being a great facilitator and starting point guard. [player_tooltip player_id='1450576' first='Jamison' last='Atwood'] is a 6'5" wing who can score smoothly and [player_tooltip player_id='2172120' first='KJ' last='Marley'] is a solid guard who contributes for the team as well.

North Creek HS - RPI: 20 - Record: 7-4 (4-3) - North Creek got off to a hot start, winning 4 of their first 5 games and winning some tough non-conference games. They have since slowed down a bit but are looking to get things back rolling as league play begins.

Other Teams: Redmond HS - 4-6 (3-4), Bothell HS - 4-9 (2-5), Ingelmoor - 5-9 (2-5)
