I stopped by the IAC/MAC Challenge on Saturday to see Saint James vs. St. Albans and Maret vs. Georgetown Prep. Here are six stars from the games I observed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1768901' first='Tyler' last='Garrett'] | Georgetown Prep '25

Garrett is a promising 6'9" forward who is still just scratching the surface of his potential but is already productive. He recorded 13 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block during his team's win vs. Maret. Garrett's standout attributes include finishing, rebounding out of his area, passing, and providing some floor spacing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579109' first='Christian' last='Gladchuk'] | Saint James '25

Gladchuk shot 4/5 from three vs. St. Albans on his way to scoring 20 points. At 6'4", he has good size which helps him collect rebounds. Gladchuk grabbed 5 boards and also recorded a floor dive.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782600' first='DJ' last='Hill'] | Maret '26

Last year, I considered Hill to be an elite on-ball defender. On Saturday, I realized that he can be threatening as a scorer. Hill poured in 30 points while scoring in a variety of ways. He is a speedster who is shifty with the ball, keeps it on a string, and looks to aggressively get downhill but can pull up on a dime as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489103' first='Grant' last='Polk'] | St. Albans '25

Polk has already established his reputation as a premier marksman from long range. If you watch the game tape vs. Saint James, you'll see other elements of his game exhibited. Polk recorded 7 rebounds and 5 assists to go along with 3 steals, and 3 deflections. He did also have 18 points and hit 5 of 8 from three. But Polk's feel for the game and effort were commendable.

[player_tooltip player_id='1759619' first='Kahuranaki' last='Treacher'] | St. Albans '24

Treacher's stock has been steadily rising since he arrived in the States last year. Listed at 6'9", he is a premier athlete who helps his team control the glass in part with relentless effort. Treacher is a graceful and explosive finisher who is also a threat to shoot from the outside. He recorded 21 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals, and drew a charge during his team's win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1371865' first='Akbar' last='Waheed III'] | Georgetown Prep '25

Waheed led the Hoyas with 18 points during their win vs. Maret. He was aggressive and effective as a scoring threat from multiple spots on the floor. Waheed got frequent paint touches which resulted in 9 free throw attempts. He also led Prep with 3 steals, showcasing alertness when reading the passing lanes along with quick reactions when intercepting.
