Trevor Best Trevor Best 6’2″ | CG Word Of God | 2025 State NC took over in the final game of the night for the Word of God Holy Rams. In his debut game with the National squad, Best poured in 27 points to lift the Holy Rams to victory. He showed his overall poise in knocking down shots in a number of clutch moments, especially a late 3-pointer from deep with roughly a minute left in the game. He’s an impressive combo guard who’s due to grow this season as he moves into a new role with the National team.

King Gibson King Gibson 6’4″ | CG The Burlington School | 2027 State NC was as good as advertised in his first viewing for The Burlington School. He provided a tremendous spark off the bench in producing 15 points, six assists, six steals, five rebounds and a resounding block in their victory over Wilson Prep. He showed his motor on both ends of the floor from being a pest defensively to an attacker in space on the offensive end. It will be interesting to see him grow in the TBS rotation over the next few seasons.
Cam Flippen Cam Flippen 6’2″ | CG The Burlington School | 2025 State NC has begun to emerge in his junior season with The Burlington School. He led the way for them with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field while shooting a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the arc to lift the offense. It seemed around every turn the game took, Flippen had a hand in turning the tide in his team’s favor. He did well to attack the paint but also showed he could operate without the ball and knock down shots on the perimeter. He’s due to climb up the PH radar with continued consistency. So far, he’s producing 8.2 PPG, 2.6 RPG and 2.4 APG on 48 percent shooting from the floor and from the perimeter in 2023-24.

Zion Walker Zion Walker 6’2″ | PG The Burlington School | 2024 State NC was a menace in creating things off the bounce in isolation for The Burlington School. While he was just 3-for-9 from the field, he managed to go 7-of-7 from the free-throw line in producing 14 points and an assist for his squad. He sported a sleaker frame which allowed him to navigate into the painted area and draw contact on his attempts to the bucket. He remains a top name to know in North Carolina’s 2024 class at the guard spot.
JD Daniels JD Daniels 6’3″ | SF Farmville Central | 2024 State NC was a stat-sheet stuffer in Farmville Central’s 82-57 victory over Northern Nash High. He showed who could do more than just score the basketball in finishing with 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks for the 2A State Title favorites. He knows how to create havoc defensively while remaining efficient offensively. He shot 6-of-8 from the field in the victory. He’s an underrated name in the 252 for DII programs in the region to get eyes on soon.
Tyler Whitehurst Tyler Whitehurst 6’1″ | CG Farmville Central | 2024 State NC made some noise as a sharpshooter on the day for the Farmville Central Jaguars in the rout. He put up 15 points on 3-of-5 shooting from deep and went 6-of-8 shooting from the overall field on the day to show his presence in the backcourt. He’s been a solid addition to the Jaguars’ rotation so far as he’s producing14.0 PPG through their first four victories on 56 percent from the field and 41 percent shooting from deep. He’s another name out of the 252 area for DII programs in the region to get eyes on.
Kayleb Coles Kayleb Coles 6’6″ | PF Wayne Country Day | 2024 State NC started off firing on all cylinders and never looked back in leading Wayne Country Day School to a big 75-53 victory over Southern Wake Academy. Coles scored the first eight points for the Chargers and finished with 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in leading their trio of himself, Carlos Vazquez Carlos Vazquez 6’6″ | SF Wayne Country Day | 2024 State NC and Jaelen Solomon Jaelen Solomon 6’5″ | PF Wayne Country Day | 2025 State NC to victory. He showed he could operate in a variety of ways as the defensive anchor for this squad. They’re going to be a scary group when the playoffs arrive.
