Owens delivered a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 21 points and 13 rebounds, showcasing his impact on both ends of the floor. A versatile presence, he consistently attacked the rim with strength, played through contact, and displayed soft touch around the basket. He made his mark defensively as well, protecting the rim and altering shots while serving as a reliable lob threat offensively. Owens also showed solid awareness as a passer and converted at the free throw line, adding to his overall efficiency. An All-State Honorable Mention for the Cavaliers, Owens has established himself as one of the state’s top rebounders, averaging around eight boards per game. His physicality, activity level, and two-way production make him a constant force in the paint.

Syrius Owens Syrius Owens 6'6" | SF Clackamas | 2026 State OR was a key presence early in the game, controlling the glass and creating extra possessions by rebounding nearly what felt like every missed shot in the first half. Standing 6’6″, he also provided solid rim protection and played above the rim. Owens contributed offensively as well, finishing with 11 points and showing good vision as a capable passer.

Owens is a high-energy rim runner who brings physicality and intelligence to the frontcourt. He’s a solid rebounder who plays above the rim and consistently impacts the game with effort and positioning. A team-first player with strong basketball IQ, Owens finished with a stat line of 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

There’s plenty of potential with Owens with his length, ability to run the floor, and versatile offensive skills and while he’s yet to earn his first offer, the interest from college programs has been steady. The 6-foot-7 forward will get an opportunity to anchor the frontcourt now at Clackamas where this summer he seemed to fit right in with his new teammates. (JT)

Owens was a clear standout in transition, filling every role from weaving around defenders in the open court, to using his length and athleticism to finish high at the rim and around contests. He moved the ball up the court with outlets and extra passes, filled lanes to finish or follow, and showed that same mentality in the half-court with some big tip-ins on the offensive glass.

The way Owens performed at Elite Camp was some of the best ball we’ve ever seen him play. The rising senior forward was playing with tremendous aggressiveness offensively and on the boards, often times absorbing a ton of contact yet still getting finishes both around and above the rim. A couple of times he was able get the ball on the perimeter, find a hole in the defense to exploit, and create off the dribble and throw down a dunk. The future Clackamas Cavalier not only utilized his length on the boards but was also effective defending the rim.
