Barhoum was limited to one game a day during the event, but certainly took advantage of the court time when he had it. On Sunday, he hit a number of his deep trademark threes but also showed he could drive it to the hoop and finish through contact. The Clackamas junior dished out a number nice-looking assists and with his focus this off-season is rebounding and defense, was solid in both aspects as well.

Arguably the best shooter in the state, Barhoum had a great season statistically, averaging north of 20 points per game, while showing balance with his rebounding & assist totals. Shooters are always at a premium, so with his ability to knock down shots from deep, college offers should be coming his way.

Barhoum had a huge night, finishing with a game-high 28 points. A confident three-point shooter, he consistently knocked down shots from the perimeter while keeping plays alive with his effort and basketball IQ. Barhoum played with poise throughout the game, led vocally on the floor, protected the rim defensively, and came through in clutch moments.

Barhoum – the top three-point shooter in the state last season – remains steady at #3 after a summer of continued growth physically and with his game. While the ability to knock down shots from the logo remains for the Clackamas junior guard, he worked hard on getting to the basket and also creating for others – something he’ll have to do more of this season for the Cavs. He too earned scholarship offers in the off-season, from Western Oregon and Portland State, and has interest from other schools. Barhoum is known for his 3-point shooting, and it was on full display over the course of the day, with Barhoum dropping in threes from way behind the line. But the Clackamas guard also showed a capable handle, good ball security, and some ability to weave his way into the paint and make plays. He’s a shooter for sure, but he also has the ball-handling to attack his man and do a little playmaking.

After two years, Barhoum has already established himself as one of the state’s top perimeter shooting threats so it was no surprise to see him draining jumper after jumper during the shooting drills and half court sets. His shot was locked in on automatic as he was draining catch-and-shoot threes as well as dribble pull-up shots from everywhere on the court – basically if he had an open look, it was going in. Barhoum didn’t force the issue either as he played team ball, especially during the scrimmages when he was hampered a bit by a sprained ankle – yet he didn’t allow that from continuing to play hard on the floor. We caught with Barhoum after camp to catch up on his summer and recruitment (which includes his first offer) and will have that posted soon.
