Expert Analysis
Colby Giacubeno | Prep Hoops Scout
Among the steadier backcourt performers that we observed, Cross was a cool customer while showing off a polished all-around skillset. He excelled as a pullup shooter with deep range and refined mechanics getting into jumpers off the bounce. Cross also showed a controlled pace and handle as an on-ball operator, keeping his head up and making smart decisions with the ball while using his strong upper body to help keep defenders at bay.
Cross had a nice freshman season at Paramus Catholic and will now suit up for state power Bergen Catholic as a sophomore. It may take some time for him to make a splash in a loaded Crusader rotation but his performance in the Top 60 game gave reason to believe he’ll be ready when his number’s called with nice upside to continue tapping into further.
