With a large group coming to town, we wanted to take an opportunity to preview the event and some top names at the showcase. Here’s a look at some of the top 2026 prospects coming tomorrow. Presented in jersey order.
Jalen moved into Taylor County last year and made an impact as a freshman. Primarily a shooter, I’m interested to see the development Gribbins has made over the last year.
Jakobi is on the short list of breakout candidates for me this year. I’m excited to see if he’s bulked up and added some more athleticism to his frame since the last time I saw him.
Highlights
Gilbert is a smooth scorer who is only going to get better as a playmaker over the course of his career. Look for Dawson to score a lot tomorrow but also show he can create for others.
Highlights
A prospect with a lot of upside, Hutchinson is a long wing coming off a good freshman season. Zach also has a lot of room to improve and will only get better. Interested to see how he has developed.
Highlights
King was a top player at our freshman showcase last year but didn’t get a lot of opportunities for LCA. Heading into his Sophomore campaign, I’m excited to see what he’s added to his game.
Highlights
Shouse has been mentioned a lot as a player who is under-ranked in our 2026 rankings. I’ve only seen him one time and it was brief. Looking forward to getting a more thorough evaluation of him Saturday.
Highlights
Bryten was one of the top players at last year’s freshman showcase and will look to impress again on Saturday. When I saw him last month, Close looked more confident in the pick and pop game.
