Recruiting Riser: CJ Felder (2019)
Game Elite 2019 has one of the most talented rosters in the travel basketball system. Loaded with rising junior prospects, Game Elite features some of the top players from South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina. Head Coach CB Williams does a great job of getting the most out of his players.
One player that has seen a rise in his recruitment is CJ Felder of Sumter High School, a 6-foot-7 small forward who has been gaining national attention. Playing with Game Elite and their thoroughbreds allow Felder to play in front of some of the top college programs every game during live period.
NEW THIS SUMMER
Felder already has offers from the likes of Auburn, UNLV, Mississippi State, Old Dominion and Virginia Tech. “During the month of July, I picked up an offer from Florida International after the last adidas Gauntlet tournament. I have been in contact recently with Marquette (Stan Johnson) and Virginia Tech have contacted me the most.”
Some of the schools that have are keeping a close eye on Felder are USC, Georgia Tech, Florida State, and UConn. “I feel like USC is really close to offering.” Felder said.
IN HIS OWN WORDS
“Since my last high school game, I feel like that my perimeter game, shooting and ball-handling has increased tremendously, I’ve got stronger and I am more athletic since then. I also believe that I have become a lockdown defender as well.”
LOOKING AHEAD
While Felder is only in the 2019 class, he still can take unofficial visits before he decides on the five official visits that he will take before his senior season. “As of right now I don’t have any visits set up but I will definitely try to set up a couple. Virginia Tech, UNLV, Florida Gulf Coast and Marquette are schools that come to mind first,” Felder said.
