Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
Rice’s senior year didn’t end how he wanted it to, but the 6-8 wing did everything he could to lead Northwest to a comeback, falling just short. The future Nebraska wing scored 17 points on 7-14 shooting (3-5 3P) with 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block. He made some really difficult shots, showing his shot creation and using his footwork to create additional space to get his shot off.

The future Nebraska wing is averaging 21.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 2.3 blocks per game on 54-42-80 shooting splits for the Wolves. A 6-8 wing who can do everything on both ends of the floor, he’s a highly intelligent player who understands angles, spacing, and can play with or without the ball in his hands. The name of Rice’s games is versatility on both ends of the floor.

was the leading points-per-game scorer in this conference, and it is clear to see why. His skill set is extremely versatile, and his scoring abilities are very dynamic. He can do about everything on the offensive end, and he is a true three-level scorer. He can shoot the ball no matter where he finds himself on the court. Both in the midrange and beyond the arc, he is very efficient. He can hit these shots off balance and with defenders in his face with ease. He is the definition of an elite jump shooter because of this ability. He is great at using his elite dribbling skills to create just enough space for his jumpers, and with that space, he barely misses. Along with jump shooting, his ball handling allows him to attack the rim. Colin is one of the most prolific drivers in the state. He shakes and blows by defenders consistently, and he converts tough layups through contact and around thickets of defenders, and even in heaps of traffic, he rarely misses around the rim. This includes the post as well, where he is also super efficient and difficult to slow down. His defensive impact is also huge for his team’s success. He can guard about any position, and he comes up with blocks and steals routinely, using his length and athleticism.
