Which prospects should you keep an eye on at the Prep Hoops Circuit Midwest Showdown?

[player_tooltip player_id='980996' first='Robert' last='Peters'] -- PF -- 24:Up

I really like the game of Peters and I think that he could develop into a really solid players at the college level. The 6-foot-8 power forward is capable of taking over games in the paint. If opposing teams decide to guard him with one defender in the post, Peters is capable of scoring with ease. I really like the versatility that Peters brings to the table. He is a solid ball handler for his position and capable long range shooter. Look for Peters to make an immediate impact next fall!

[player_tooltip player_id='1142121' first='Tim' last='Franks'] -- SG -- Chapman Basketball Academy

Franks has become one of my favorite prospects to watch in Wisconsin. The shooting guard can score the ball with ease. If left open from three, Franks can float around the perimeter and drain long range shots. But if defenders are running him off the three-point line, Franks is also capable of putting the ball on the floor and then scoring around the rim. He can finish through or around contact with his excellent touch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1142141' first='Derrick' last='Johnson'] -- SG -- Chapman Basketball Academy

I thought that Johnson made a huge leap this past season at Dominican. The shooting guard developed into an elite scorer and shooter. If left open from long range, Johnson will shred opposing defenses. He has a quick release and is always moving, looking to shake free for an open shot. Not only did Johnson put up impressive numbers this winter, but he also passed the eye test. Johnson makes smart plays on both sides of the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1142143' first='Dallas' last='Wallin'] -- SF - Northwest Elite

Wallin has already gotten off to a hot start this AAU season. I expect that to continue this weekend in Appleton. The Northwest Elite small forward is a handful for defenders. Wallin does a great job of using his size to his advantage. He stands at 6-foot-4 and has the strength to match. In the past, I have been impressed by how Wallin has attacked smaller defenders, gotten to his spots, and the scored. He can get in a zone quickly. And once he does, Wallin often puts up huge scoring numbers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1586877' first='Ian' last='Schnabel'] -- PF -- Minnesota Heat

Schnabel is nowhere near being a finished product. And this is what makes him a really intriguing prospect. The Minnesota Heat power forward will have a size and strength advantage over just about every opponent. Because of this, Schnabel is capable of taking over games in the paint. He is dominant as a rebounder and has shown flashes as a shot blocker. If the PF continues to improve and add new elements to his game, I have no doubt about his ability to succeed at the college level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1481179' first='LaTrevion' last='Fenderson'] -- SG -- Wisconsin Playground Club

Fenderson was one of the biggest stock risers from this winter. So far, he has continued to play great basketball. The Wisconsin Playground Club shooting guard has made significant strides as an overall player. He is known as an awesome scorer, but the small things are what make Fenderson so impressive to me. He plays great defense and rebounds at a high level. The shooting guard also makes smart plays on offense.
