Expert Analysis
Jared Martinson | Prep Hoops Scout
Wallin is a do-it-all prospect who leads his team in scoring (20.7), rebounding (10), assists (4.3), steals (1.4), and blocks (1.0). The 6-foot-6 senior excels at positionless basketball where he can dictate the offense as a point-wing and defend multiple positions on the other end.

One of the top players at the event, Dallas did a bit of everything over the weekend for Northwest Elite. Yes, he could score the ball with his strength and footwork around the rim as well as touch from beyond the arc. But he does so many things to impact a game outside of scoring. He’s a major threat on the glass who can take a defensive board and then initiate the break on his own. Dallas is also a talented passer both out of the block or off the drive as he was setting his shooters up with accurate and timely passes right into their hands. Didn’t back down from any challenge on the defensive end as he could guard just about any spot on the floor at 6’5.

Dallas is such a versatile player and it showed in a win for Northwest Elite. He started off the game with three finishes inside, including one where he shot faked in one way, then pivoted back in the opposite direction to touch it in off the glass. Wallin showcased touch from beyond the arc, as well as a nice floater that was connecting at a high percentage. Outside of scoring he’s an excellent passer at 6’5, with the ability to post up and deliver accurate passes from the block, as well as drive and kick it out to open shooters for easy looks. On the defensive end he had a pair of blocks, was active off the ball jumping lazy passes, and rebounded at a high level. Has the athleticism to guard a variety of spots with his size.

will be running with Northwest Elite, where he’ll be able to showcase his all-around game. Seeing him this past winter he showed that he can do a bit of everything, as he’s a major rebounding presence, can handle the ball in the open floor, facilitates from the perimeter and out of the block, and is a tough finisher inside. Has no problem stepping out and hitting threes either. Combine that all-around skillset with his size at 6’5, and he could have a very productive weekend.
