<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1677076' first='Tyshawn' last='Archie'] is by far the top ranked available prospect in the 2023 class. Ranked 8th, the next highest ranked uncommitted prospect is 35th in the state! Archie was released from his NLI from James Madison. Recently receiving offers from Louisiana Tech, FIU and Tulsa, Archie is high on a lot of recruiting boards across the mid major level. [player_tooltip player_id='867933' first='Deshawne' last='Crim'] is the next highest ranked prospect currently available. Crim has a few offers from D2/NAIA programs and recently took a visit to Lipscomb. [player_tooltip player_id='1747664' first='Carmelo' last='Adkins'] is the third highest ranked available prospect and according to his twitter bio he has reclassed to the 2024 class and will take a post grad year. He'll be joined by [player_tooltip player_id='1052783' first='Austin' last='Parks'] in Columbus. Xavier gets [player_tooltip player_id='922605' first='Dailyn' last='Swain'] who stays in state for Sean Miller's second season back with the Musketeers. [player_tooltip player_id='867934' first='Gabe' last='Cupps'] (Indiana) and [player_tooltip player_id='1043600' first='George' last='Washington III'] (Michigan) will continue to battle it out in the Big 10. [player_tooltip player_id='1076533' first='Marlon' last='Barnes Jr.'] (Pitt) and [player_tooltip player_id='1778528' first='Eemeli' last='Yalaho'] (Texas Tech) round out the high major scholarship names from Ohio. <p>One of the top Division II conferences in the Midwest, the GMAC has a strong Ohio influence in the conference. [player_tooltip player_id='1183906' first='Ayden' last='Carter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1090150' first='Elias' last='Lewis'] are top 35 prospects headed to Walsh. [player_tooltip player_id='867930' first='Logan' last='Beaston'], [player_tooltip player_id='1419893' first='Connor' last='Stonebraker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1163459' first='Mikey' last='McCollum'] are top 45 prospects going to Hillsdale. [player_tooltip player_id='1419902' first='Will' last='Aljancic'] is a top 35 prospect committed to Findlay. Cj Hornbeak (Lake Erie), [player_tooltip player_id='1467907' first='Jordan' last='Edwards'] (Ashland) and [player_tooltip player_id='1201839' first='Anthony' last='Ruffolo'] (Cedarville) are all top 50 ranked guards also headed to the conference.</p>

<p>The MAC recruited very few prospects from Ohio's 2023 class as [player_tooltip player_id='867938' first='Lance' last='Hayes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1052781' first='Donovan' last='Hunter'] (Kent State) and [player_tooltip player_id='1088811' first='Eian' last='Elmer'] (Miami OH) are the only MAC scholarship commits in the 2023 class. The Horizon League's three Ohio schools (Cleveland State, Youngstown State and Wright State) also grabbed a combined two scholarship prospects from Ohio as [player_tooltip player_id='976068' first='Solomon' last='Callaghan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='867928' first='DayJaun' last='Anderson'] will both be Raiders at Wright State. <p>Many top high school basketball stars will be dominating on the hardwood in college, but some are focusing on a different sport at the next level, our top ranked prospect playing a different sport in college is [player_tooltip player_id='1165506' first='Cole' last='Rhett'] who will be playing football for Toledo as a lineman. [player_tooltip player_id='1225047' first='Charlie' last='Russell'], who had a breakout senior season for Bishop Ready, will be playing baseball at Air Force.
