Lewis has been one of the top players in central Ohio this season for one of the top teams in the area. An elite shooter, Lewis also brings athletic tools and has improved defensively over the past 12 months. Lewis has figured out ways to expand his game and be more well-rounded and productive at the same time. Scholarship programs have taken notice and Lewis has recently picked up offers to Lake Superior State and Lake Erie College. Expect more programs to come calling but Lewis has options at the next level right now.

Lewis has been going off this year. He seems to be playing for something, if I had to guess it’s an offer. This kid should get one. He dropped a school record 43 points last week and when I saw him play on Saturday you could tell his confidence and rhythm he is in offensively at a high level. His jumper seems to be coming off quicker and smoother. His shot is looking good. He is making some very tough baskets around the rim. I mean this kid is playing for a scholarship offer and I don’t know what is stopping colleges. He checks all the boxes. Athletic, length, height, and skill.

Lewis continues to play at an extremely high level and has really grown as a prospect since his AAU days with Nova Village. Lewis’ more impressive attributes is his shot creating and playmaking. Taller guard with a nice elevated jump that gets him over defenders for shot. Creates separation with his quicker hands to get into his shots. Plays with springs in his shoes and was at times hovering over the rim to make plays. Multi-dimensional scorer and can get the job done consistently. My only concerns was how he defended Shemarion Hardy as Lewis struggled a few times to keep in front of him. Lewis still though should be a priority for Division II programs and can fit into several different systems.

Lewis is just as solid of a player as they come with some great athleticism. He was a monster on the defensive end for Olentangy Orange. He was in the opposing guards’ shorts all game long. Flying around defensively. He won’t make any mistakes for you. He had a nasty alley-pop dunk in the third quarter for Orange and it showed what this kid is capable of. I really like Lewis’s game.
