About Kuol
Expert Analysis
Andrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
Kuol is the first of two Anthony Edwards Five standouts from this week. He flashed elite offensive talent often in Rock Hill, doing things at his size that are extremely unique. Deng displayed good mobility and athleticism, and I also really liked his feel on the offensive end. In the Wednesday Play-In win over Team Esface, Kuol had multiple putbacks, a few nice passes inside the perimeter, a push shot, and a left-corner three. In Thursday’s Round One game, he wasn’t as consistent, but he did hit two really nice mid-range jumpers off the dribble.

The big fella drained an early three and finished with 9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in a 61-31 rout of Archer. Deng came off the bench before making an impact. His inside-out versatility makes him one of the best prospects in Georgia.

One of the top stock risers in the country. Deng is a dynamic forward with a rapidly expanding skill set. He scores with finesse in the low post using turnarounds, and attacks off the dribble to hit pull-ups. Has become a consistent offensive weapon and is rising on national recruiting boards. Holds multiple Power 5 offers.

A versatile big, Deng can protect the rim, rebound and run the floor while also flashing offensive skills like ball handling and perimeter shooting at 6’10. With that combination of skills plus solid production for AE5 on the 3SSB circuit during session I, it’s no surprise why Alabama recently offered Deng and we expect him to rise up the rankings on other websites as the summer progresses.

Up from 17: A stress fracture in his foot slowed down Deng at the end of the season, limiting the Cavaliers’ chance for a deep run. Kuol won Co-Region Player of the Year. His game has grown by leaps and bounds. He had highlight dunks throughout the season, showcasing his improved mobility and guard skills and scored from all three levels. He created his own offense out of the post on turnaround jumpers, got to spots in the mid-range and could net the open three. Deng is trending upward as one of the best prospects in Georgia, already with a Florida State offer and plenty more to come.

At 6-foot-10 with mobility and vastly improved perimeter skills, Deng has all the makings of a D-I prospect who is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. Kuol can play inside and out with jump shot range that extends to the three-point line. His off the dribble game has grown as well, able to score on pull-ups and get to the hoop.

did this spring, now up to #24 in the class. He had a great spring with the
Georgia Stars
, not only gaining exposure but proving that he belongs on the court with other D1 players. Deng has great size and length at 6’11, fairly mobile for his size as well. He’s a capable scorer in the low post but still has lots of room to polish his game up down there. Deng should begin to garner D1 attention sooner than later.

is no longer a secret and he’s now considered one of the top bigs in Georgia’s 2026 class. Deng is still fairly raw but he’s flashed the ability to put it on the floor and attack from perimeter, something that’s rare for a player his size. His size and athleticism make for plenty of powerful finishes above the rim. While Deng is still fairly new to Georgia and flying under the radar, he’ll have the opportunity to prove himself this spring with
South Georgia Elite
.

I’ve had limited looks at Deng, only a few camp settings but he’s certainly impressed. Deng provides two-way production, a constant threat to throw one down on the offensive end while being an active rim protector and rebounder defensively. He finished out the summer with South GA Elite.

Great length. Moves well for his size. Sneaky good post passer. Shows flashes of a high upside, able to comfortably attack from 15-feet and in. Game is continuing to slow down.
