Miles Masercola | Prep Hoops Scout
Brown continues to assert himself amongst the stock rising prospects in North Carolina’s 2027 class after showing more flashes of that development in UAA Session One with Top Shot. Brown showed major strides this past season at Ambassador Christian in his ability to catch in traffic, finish around the rim, and anchor the defense without a ton of foul trouble. As Brown continues on this development path, his strong performances will only happen at a higher frequency and we’re starting to slowly see that with time. Consistency is key and that is becoming a part of Brown’s game, now playing vs higher level competition, an adjustment will be natural but I don’t think it will be too much longer before we see Brown assert himself as a true gem nationally in this 2027 class as his skillset is super valuable at the next level.

Brown ascended to the top ten of the 2027 rankings as he showed a ton of progress in his development over the course of his junior season as a rim running defensive anchor with a ton of versatility on that end of the floor. He’ll be running with Top Shot UAA 17u this spring/summer and his development has a chance to be on full display in front of a ton of coaches. Brown has the ability to switch out and guard on the perimeter while maintaining his presence as a rim protector. He’s simply too active to ignore on that end of the floor and should continue to add strength to his frame to ensure he can really play the physical nature of the game down low with more bruising bigs. On the offensive end he’s really worked to improve his hands, allowing him to finish around the rim with more consistency and be a true vertical spacer at that end of the floor. Watching Brown translate potential to production this season was really encouraging and he now has a chance to show that and then some this summer on a massive stage.

Brown is a big that is showed immense growth over the course of this season as his identity is fully embraced and the steady improvement in his game is showing in his production/impact. Brown is a very switchable and athletic big man who is a vertical spacer as a lob threat on the offensive end of the floor. His hands and feet have shown considerable progress as he’s catching and finishing in traffic with more consistency + even able to show some touch on the block from time to time. Brown’s role as a low usage, high energy front-court piece is something that programs all around the country are looking for. He averaged 9.4 Points, 7.0 Rebounds, 0.9 Assists, 0.9 Steals, and 2.1 Blocks. If he can find a way to average numbers like that on UAA this summer, his recruitment will skyrocket. Once bigs start to figure it out, they typically really figure it out. I expect Brown to show even more improvement once we roll the balls out for circuit ball and that could vault him into the top 5 of the class here in NC.

Now a member of the class of 2027, it will be hard to rank Brown outside of the top ten with his defensive upside and real progression in the rest of his overall game. Sometimes with bigs, it just starts to happen, that appears to be the case with Brown who showed consistent flashes of greatness, but is now making those flashes who he is with regularity. Switchable, explosive, and extremely coachable are three incredible traits for a young big man to have. Playing a national schedule, Amabassador is 13-10, a record that might not be impressive on paper, but when you look at the trajectory of their season, and who they’ve played, this is one of the state’s best teams right now with Brown as a a huge reason why. Brown is averaging 8.9 Points, 7.2 Rebounds, 2.2 Blocks, 0.9 Steals, and 0.8 Assists on 64% from the floor. Brown is going to have a big weekend in the live period at some point this spring/summer and see the recruitment start to really pick up some steam.

Brown is now a 6’9″ member of the 2027 class and is starting to turn the corner in his development in a major major way. He is now showing real flashes of dominance defensively as a rim protector while also showing the ability to switch and guard perimeter players at a very high level for someone of his size. Brown is now catching in traffic with more consistency, that will still have to show improvement but he has come such a long way with that aspect of his game, there’s no reason to believe that progress will stop or slow down anytime soon. As he continues to get high level experience with Ambassador this season, he will only get better and better. Definitely a big to monitor very very closely.

Brown is now a member of the class of 2027 and he’s really turning the corner in his development as he’s gotten stronger and more confident in his overall game. Brown is a very active big man with long arms and well rounded athleticism. He can get out and guard perimeter players extremely well for his size, and now has made the progress with his frame to deal with bruisers on the interior. Brown runs the floor hard on the offensive end, making himself available for dump offs and lobs. He does such a good job altering and blocking shots at the rim, and that is really what his calling card is as a prospect. I fully expect his recruitment to pick up serious steam with how valued his skillset is at the next level.

Brown is a wiry forward to get to know in the 2026 class as he joins Ambassador Christian in it’s inaugural season in 2024-25. At 6-foot-8, he’s shown a strong knack already for altering/blocking shots around the rim and being a menacing presence defensively. Offensively, he’s capable of finishing around the rim and making things happen in the painted area. He’s a name for DI programs in the region to get to know.

Brown is another sizeable big man with quite the athleticism in his skill set to keep an eye on in the 2026 class. He’s emerged as quite the shot-blocking presence in the 2026 class as they enter another grassroots season this spring/summer. He putu p 9.9 PPG, 6.8 RPG and 2.0 BPG this past season for the Chargers and looks to continue to sharpen his skills as a rim protector heading into the grassroots season. He’ll be a prospect to keep an eye on with Top Shot Basketball on the UAA stage.

He moves from No. 70 into the Top 50 at No. 44 in the latest update of the 2026 class. He’s shown tremendous development as a prospect who can play above the rim on both ends of the floor with his length and athleticism at 6-foot-8. He averaged 2.8 PPG and 2.3 RPG as a freshman with the Chargers and is due to break out this year.
