This past weekend we had a ton of excitement surrounding the first Session for Under Armor Association go down in Kansas City with a ton of representation from North Carolina. We already discussed some of the backcourt pieces but now we'll spend some time focusing on the front court prospects that showed their worth at UAA KC!

Miller had a really strong weekend for Top Shot 16u as he held it down with his interior scoring, rebounding at both ends, and ability to be a connector at both ends of the floor. Miller averaged 11.8 Points, 8.3 Rebounds, 2.5 Assists, and 2.0 Blocks per game while shooting 75% from the floor. Miller possesses the ability to use his size on the interior while finishing with touch around the basket with a high level of consistency. He keeps the ball moving when doubled in the post, finding the open man with consistency and relocating properly. Miller helped lead his team to a 3-1 weekend to get their season started off on the right foot and is proving to be a super valuable part of this group. He's continuing to establish himself as a big for coaches to monitor in this absolutely stacked North Carolina 2028 class.

Battier does a really nice job for this A Wigg team as he possesses a truly versatile inside/out skillset with his positional size. Battier can make outside shots, push the ball in transition, and is starting to show more aggression as a slasher with this group, showcasing his above the rim capability. Battier is coming off of a really strong season at Providence Day where he played a major role on a team that enjoyed a lot of success. The lefty is a high level shot maker off the catch with the ability to attack closeouts and finish at the rim. He's got a slick handle with a head of steam, making him difficult to contain in transition when he gets it going. Battier should be one of the most consistent producers on this A Wigg 17u team all season long and start to garner Division One traction in the process.

Overton is an athletic forward with the ability to play above the rim and provide a physical presence on the interior. For this TLBA UAA squad, Overton provides a presence in the front-court that they otherwise would not have with his vertical pop and willingness to exert multiple efforts defensively to get the job done. Overton can attack the basket from the perimeter as he's a mismatch for most guys in front of him. He possesses the coordination and body control to finish at the rim when attacking along with having the pop to finish over the defense when needed. He also brings a ton of versatility defensively with that aforementioned effort, mobility, and size at that end of the floor. Overton will be reclassifying to 2027 and heading to Moravian Prep next year where we could see his recruitment really pop as he gels in with this talented group.

Brown continues to assert himself amongst the stock rising prospects in North Carolina's 2027 class after showing more flashes of that development in UAA Session One with Top Shot. Brown showed major strides this past season at Ambassador Christian in his ability to catch in traffic, finish around the rim, and anchor the defense without a ton of foul trouble. As Brown continues on this development path, his strong performances will only happen at a higher frequency and we're starting to slowly see that with time. Consistency is key and that is becoming a part of Brown's game, now playing vs higher level competition, an adjustment will be natural but I don't think it will be too much longer before we see Brown assert himself as a true gem nationally in this 2027 class as his skillset is super valuable at the next level.

Williams was a consistent interior presence for A Wigg Elite 16s this past weekend and despite struggling in the W/L department, he showed his versatile game and ability to overpower the opposition with his strength. Williams can score on the block, make good decisions with the ball when doubled, and possesses quality touch from 15 feet and in. He uses his strong frame to carve out space on the glass and contributes on both backboards in regards to rebounding. For A Wigg to turn it around, Williams will need to continue with his work and find ways to elevate his production but he appears to be a very capable player with the ability to flirt with double doubles consistently and provide this team with a high quality low post option on the offensive end. His production has been undeniable for this group and he'll be a mainstay for them all season long.
