About Eric
Expert Analysis
Jack Pfeiffer | Prep Hoops Scout
Eric, the 2026 Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year, showed out in his hometown with RWE this past weekend. He is a very strong and skilled wing prospect, who did the majority of his work inside. He is a fantastic rebounder for his position, coming away with contested boards on both ends of the floor. He was automatic around the basket, utilizing elite pump fakes and footwork. He showed off his athleticism in the open floor with some powerful dunks and was a threat to shoot it from deep. Fielder is headed to his hometown school this upcoming college basketball season, Colorado State.

Fielder is the state’s best scorer, and he has one of the highest usage rates that I’ve ever seen from a 6A player. He’s a 6’8 paint beast that you cannot stop with only one player, so they send double teams. That doesn’t even work, so sometimes they send more. He’s the No.1 option that teams gameplan for, and it’s been that way since his sophomore season. We thought that we saw a remarkable junior season when he put up 24.1 points and 7.8 rebounds a game, but in his senior year, he’s averaging 34.2 points and 11.3 rebounds to go along with it. He’s a player who you have to defend the moment he crosses halfcourt, as he is not afraid to let it fly, he hits the mid-range, and if he gets single coverage on the block, it’s too late. He scores from all three levels and reads defenses. His offensive effort has him in a league of his own. He already has 1671 points scored, but at this rate, he has to be aiming for 2,000 points scored, and I think he gets it. This was all done in practically three seasons, which makes it more impressive. He’s having a monster season and is well on his way to putting his name with some of the state’s most prolific scorers.

is the icing on the cake of this list, as he’s been the driving force for Regis Jesuit. The stats don’t lie, and it’s important we recognize greatness when we see it. Averaging a whopping 35.3 PPG on 52% from the field is mind-boggling. Aside from scoring, Fiedler crashes the glass and creates opportunities in transition for his teammates, coming up with just south of 11 RPG.

Fiedler is the No. 1 player in the entire state, so of course, he’s the top player in the conference. He led the conference in scoring as a sophomore at 24 points a game, and I am willing to bet that he does the same this season. I do expect some huge scoring performances as defenses do everything in their power to try and slow him down. He’s bigger, stronger, and more skilled than a season ago, and what he was able to do this summer against some of the top players in the country lets me know that he’s ready to do it all again. Fiedler will be the heartbeat of Regis, and whatever wins they get go through him. He’s top dog.

What’s understood should not have to be explained, but we will explain it. Fiedler is the top player in the state and will be the target against every single team. But he appears to be ready for that as he’s seemed to elevate his game even more this summer. He led the state in scoring as a junior, putting up 24.1 points a game, and now it seems that the game is coming easier for the 6’8 CSU commit. He’s a 3-level scorer that bullies inside but also shoots the deep ball as well. He got it done this summer against nationally ranked recruits, and now he has a goal of winning state. Expecting another monster season for him. He comes in at No.1

One of the most productive players on the UAA circuit this summer, Fiedler was another player spotlighted by The Circuit during grassroots season awards, naming Fielder to the UAA first team. I love the fact that Fiedler is going to a powerhouse in-state mid-major program in the Colorado State Rams. Colorado State has been producing guys who either perform at all conference levels in the Mountain West, transfer up to high major programs or go straight to the NBA. I think Fiedler could be next in line as his physicality on the interior could allow him to fight for early minutes. In general I absolutely love the recruiting class Colorado State has in 2026 as the Rams have targeted some high performing players from major grassroots circuits.

is a 6’8 forward for Regis Jesuit, who averaged 24.1 PPG and 7.1 RPG during the 2024–25 season. He heads into his Senior season as the top player in the state and has been on an offensive onslaught to begin the grassroots season, which has many D1’s looking his way. He put up an incredible 52 points at Section 7, is versatile, and is a player that most schools have been calling about. Expect his games to garner plenty of D1 attention.

continued his dominating campaign this season last night, dropping 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Any defender can’t afford to let Fiedler get comfortable down low, otherwise it’s wraps. Eric has perfected his craft and his footwork allows him to convert on any level of the floor.

has been on an absolute terror this month. Fiedler contributes his talents on Regis’ baseball team come spring time. Fiedler can score to his heart’s content, as he can torch your favorite team for 25+ points. Fiedler is as complete of a player as it gets, and at this rate, expect Eric to single handedly dominate the playoffs.
