Young once again filled up the stat sheet as the Racers dominated their rivals from Tuttle in the extra period. He finished with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 4 dimes and 4 steals. The game was tied at the end of regulation but the Racers smashed the Tigers in overtime to leave no doubt in this one. Young is making a very strong case that he is the top overall prospect in the state's 2025 class. There is quite a bit of talent in that class but few are as efficient as Young has been this season. Young and the Racers are back on the floor on Thursday at their own tournament.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1391435"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Speaking of top 2025 prospects and speaking of efficient, here's Weatherford forward [player_tooltip player_id='1391435' first='CJ' last='Nickson']. It seems like every week we're writing about Nickson and his latest ridiculous stat line. This week, the Eagles remained undefeated by blowing out Altus 88-42. Nickson finished with 44 points on 19-22 shooting from the field. We don't know what's more impressive. The 19-22 from the field or the fact that he scored more points than Weatherford's opponent. Either way, it was a flawless night from the sophomore star. It's getting close to the point that we're going to have to rename this Top Performer feature after Nickson with how many times he's been on it. Nickson and the Eagles are headed to the Kingfisher tournament this week where a showdown with Kingfisher could be looming.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1732799"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Edmond Santa Fe knocked off Yukon 56-46 on Tuesday night and junior [player_tooltip player_id='1732799' first='Drelen' last='Nero'] continued his breakout season with a double double in the win. He finished with a game-high 21 points and also grabbed 12 rebounds in the win. Nero is averaging over 15 points per game and is a big part of the Edmond Santa Fe turnaround in the month of January. The Wolves have been arguably the most snake-bitten team in the state this season with injury after injury but they are starting to hit their stride at the right time. After starting the season 1-7, Edmond Santa Fe has rattled off four wins in their last five games and despite missing some of their best players, the Wolves are turning into a team that you won't want to play when the playoffs roll around.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1293574"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"After falling on the road to #1 Broken Arrow in a close one last week, Owasso has bounced back with two straight wins, including Tuesday night's 73-50 win over Sapulpa at home. Leading the way for the Rams was their junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='1295706' first='Isaiah' last='McLemore'], who led all scorers with 20 points. The Rams had a very balanced attack as four of their starters finished in double figures. That's what's scary about Owasso moving forward. This is a very young but talented team that is getting more confidence as the season goes on. McLemore is enjoying a great breakout season and he's turning into a 2024 name that coaches need to know about. McLemore and the Rams now hit the road and head north for a tournament in Pittsburg, Kansas this weekend.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1454892"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Destiny Christian got an impressive win on Tuesday night over Bishop McGuinness, winning 58-39. Destiny Christian is non-OSSAA program that doesn't get enough pub but they have some legitimate prospects and guard [player_tooltip player_id='1454892' first='Jude' last='Hill'] is one of them. He's put up some impressive shooting numbers all season from beyond the arc and he was at it again on Tuesday night. He finished with 23 points and would go 5-10 from three-point range. Hill has been one of the best shooters in the state this season from beyond the arc and Tuesday showed why. Not only can he absolutely fill it up but he does it at an impressive but efficient clip. Destiny Christian will be back on the floor this week as they play in the Titan Classic at Carl Albert, featuring state title contenders Carl Albert and Putnam City North.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["1367224"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"The Lawton Wolverines continued their dominant ways on Tuesday night with a 89-53 win over rival Lawton MacArthur. The Wolverines dropped a game to 5A's #1 Carl Albert last week and have won three straight since and have looked great in all three games. Leading a balanced scoring attack on Tuesday night was junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1367224' first='Madden' last='Padilla'], who finished with 27 points in the win over his former team. Padilla can absolutely light up any gym he steps foot into as one of the top shooters in the state. We're excited to see Padilla and the Wolverines this week when they participate in the John Nobles tournament in Moore. There are several tournaments that are stacked with state tournament contenders and the John Nobles tourney is one of them.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["967379"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"Bixby's three-game home stretch ended with an exciting and high-scoring 82-79 win in overtime over Union on Tuesday night. Leading the way once again was Bixby star and Notre Dame signee [player_tooltip player_id='967379' first='Parker' last='Friedrichsen'], who finished with 35 points to lead all scorers. Back to back wins over Booker T Washington and Union in the last two games has given the Spartans all the momentum they need going into the Will Rogers tournament starting on Thursday. After falling to 5A's #1 Carl Albert in the championship game of the Bartlesville tournament nearly two weeks ago, the Spartans are hungry for a tournament title this week. Friedrichsen leads a Bixby offense that is one of the highest scoring units in the state, regardless of class and they're looking to continue that with a run in March.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_7_player":["981287"],"_player_evaluations_7_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"4A's #4 Douglass went on the road (not far) and knocked off 5A's #8 Southeast 75-68 on Tuesday night and their senior star [player_tooltip player_id='981287' first='Terry' last='McMorris'] was once again on top of his game. McMorris finished with a game-high 26 points in the win as he was consistently getting to the basket and finishing, as well as converting at the charity stripe. We mentioned earlier this week how McMorris was reaching new heights on the offensive end of the floor and that was once again evident on Tuesday night. McMorris has always been one of the state's top defenders. But this season, we've seen McMorris flip the switch on offense and turn into more of scorer from just about everywhere on the floor. He's always been a good slasher and that was on display Tuesday night but his improved jumper is another reason he's arguably the top available prospect in the state's 2023 class.","_player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_8_player":["1367221"],"_player_evaluations_8_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"Earlier this week we u003cstrongu003eu003ca href=u0022https://prephoops.com/2023/01/what-we-learned-jan-9-14/u0022 target=u0022_blanku0022 rel=u0022noreferrer noopeneru0022u003ementioned how defending champion Edmond North is still the team to beat in Class 6Au003c/au003eu003c/strongu003e and they again showed why on Tuesday night as they handled #8 Norman 63-47. The Huskies were dominant in the second half and leading the way once again was their junior superstar guard [player_tooltip player_id='1367221' first='TO' last='Barrett']. The junior finished with a game-high 18 points to lead all scorers as he once again makes the case that he is the top prospect in the state's 2024 class. The Huskies have won five in a row and have been rather dominant during that winning streak. They might get tested once or twice between now and the start of the playoffs. But with Barrett is producing on offense like we saw on Tuesday night, the Huskies are going to be tough to beat.","_player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_9_player":["1139378"],"_player_evaluations_9_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"Westmoore made quite the statement on Tuesday night when they dominated rival Southmoore 72-53 in a game featuring two top ten teams in Class 6A. The Jaguars jumped into the top five of Class 6A and they backed up the hype with an outstanding performance on the road and their big man [player_tooltip player_id='1139378' first='Zach' last='Hays'] led a very balanced attack on offense. Hays would finish with 21 points in the win but this was a complete performance from the Jaguars. They had several finish in double figures but Hays was the guy who would lead them in scoring on Tuesday night. They have several different players who can lead them in scoring on any given night. The Jaguars now shift their focus to the John Nobles tourney at Moore where they'll face Ardmore. They could see rival Southmoore again on Friday.","_player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":10,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-63c82c8076797"} /-->
