was absolutely amazing against the #4 team in the state. After being in foul trouble early in the first quarter, he returned at the end of the first quarter to start a rampage. He scored 23 points with seven three pointers within the next seven minutes of play. He scored 21 consecutive points in the game, which flipped the script in this one. This started with a four-point play. To put that in perspective, he barely played over half of the first half and still single-handedly outscored the opponent at halftime. This is coming off of a game where he scored 51 points and his team won 92-52. He almost outscored his opponent for a full game. In this game, he continually hit stepback three pointers while being contested, he hit a turnaround three pointer, and he was hitting from deep. There was more to his game than just that, as he played good defense, coming up with steals and a block. On offense, not only could he shoot, he showed that he is a slithery finisher by utilizing screens and dribble moves. Not all of his shots inside were easy, as he hit multiple acrobatic layups. He had his fair share of rebounds, as well. For the game, he ended with 34 points. There is a reason why ESPN has him ranked as a four-star recruit and he has been offered by several power five schools, but is committed to Wake Forest.

Mr. Smooth Operator, Parker is another athlete I have watched consistently hone his craft and not settle for average or what’s acceptable but strive for what’s unexplainable. The catalyst and motor for this young Bixby Spartans team Parker leads with poise and confidence and understands the balance of taking the game into his hands and trusting his teammates. One thing I love about Friedrichsen’s age is his fluid movements and ability to get to his spots easily and get the shots he wants sometimes with just a sliver of separation. The recently announced Wake Forest commit is playing with something to prove and this chip on his shoulder cause Bixby to find themselves within grasp of a 6A State Title.

Parker started the game off hot by knocking down a few mid-range shots followed by a contested three-point shot with a hand in his face. He finished the first half with 12 points and Bixby was down by 1. In the third quarter, he followed it up with eleven more points to start the fourth quarter. At this point, Parker has 18 points to reach the two thousand mark and you can feel the anticipation in the gym on if he will get it before the end of the game. He ends the game with 27 points leaving him just 12 points short of the reaching the 2000-point mark for his high school career. However, he was able to lead his team to another victory against Owasso.

is an elite talent that is mesmerizing to watch every time that he steps onto the court. This is my second time watching him this season, third time if you include AAU this past summer. The first two games I have watched him play, he had 36 points and 40 points. In this game, it felt like an off-game for him against a great team that is ranked, despite him having 22 points. He hit multiple three-pointers, including one off of the dribble after a nice pump fake. He showed the ability to score from mid-range and at the rim. He put the ball on the deck and took the defender to the basket, as well as utilized a nice floater and pull-up. One thing that sticks out to me the most about his game is that he does whatever he can to win. He will dive for loose balls, set screens to get teammates open, and play great defense. He had a steal and multiple assists in this one, to go along with multiple rebounds. There is a reason why he is the #2 player in the state of Oklahoma and was once committed to Oklahoma State and Notre Dame. Whoever lands this stud prospect will instantly be made better. He is an elite talent that gives 100% on both ends of the court.

Bixby has won six in a row after losing to Carl Albert in the Bartlesville tourney title game. They dominated their way to the Will Rogers Invitational championship. The Spartans continue to have one of the top scoring offenses in the state and they are led by Notre Dame signee

. The Bixby star scored 103 points in three days and picked up right where he left off earlier in the week when he scored 35 points in an overtime win over Union. Friedrichsen would score 43 in their first round game and then averaged 30 points per game in the semifinal and championship game to walk away with tournament MVP honors. Friedrichsen continues to be one of the leading scorers in the state but what makes Bixby a team to look out for is the fact that the Notre Dame signee has help around him.

, who finished with 35 points to lead all scorers. Back to back wins over Booker T Washington and Union in the last two games has given the Spartans all the momentum they need going into the Will Rogers tournament starting on Thursday. After falling to 5A’s #1 Carl Albert in the championship game of the Bartlesville tournament nearly two weeks ago, the Spartans are hungry for a tournament title this week. Friedrichsen leads a Bixby offense that is one of the highest scoring units in the state, regardless of class and they’re looking to continue that with a run in March.

showed once again why he’s one of the top players in the state. He would finish with a team-high 19 points and the Titans made things incredibly difficult throughout the evening but they weren’t going to be able to hold Friedrichsen down for long. One thing that stood out today about his game was his defense on the ball. We know Friedrichsen can shoot and can absolutely fill it up from anywhere on the floor. But his quick hands on defense set the Spartans up with easy opportunities on the offensive end of the floor. His passing also continues to improve as he set up his teammates time after time. Friedrichsen and the Spartans now have a three-game home stand where they’ll host Sapulpa, Booker T Washington and Union before their next tournament in two weeks.

earned it. I could not make a scorers/shooters article and not include him when he scored 40 points, I could not make a top rebounders list when he had one of the highest rebounding totals in the game, and now I am making top defenders. He played such good defense that I could not leave him off of the roster. He has good length and size for a guard and he knew how to use it. He brought a great double team near half court to force his opponents to call a timeout. He tipped a pass to force a steal and he came up with a couple of other steals. He displayed good perimeter defense and forced his opponents into several bad shots. Not only was his offensive game and defense amazing, he had six rebounds (three of them being offensive). If you want more details on a different area of his game, I wrote a scorers/shooters article and a top rebounders article that you can go check out. He had a great all-around game to help his team narrowly win.

did it all this game. He scored 40 points and made it look easy while doing it (I wrote about that in the Top Shooters/Scorers article). He got that done in several different ways on the offensive end. One of the ways that he accumulated some of the points was from offensive rebounds. I recorded three offensive rebounds in this one to go along with another three defensive rebounds. I might have missed some, but six total rebounds is what I have in my notes for him. That is impressive for a guard. Off of one of his defensive rebounds, he threw a well placed outlet pass for an assist. His playmaking ability goes beyond just that, as he knows how to drive and kick to open teammates and how to set them up perfectly. He has really good ball handles, so he can run some point guard. His court vision helps him see the game in so many different ways that many players don’t see it. The last area that he impacted was with his defense. He came up with a couple of steals and played great on ball defense. He is an elite player that makes an elite impact every time that he steps on the court.

put on an absolute show, showing why he is the #2 player in the state. He scored an efficient 40 points, leading his team to a 77-72 win over Sand Springs. At half-time he had 21 points, then he had 28 at the end of the third quarter, before scoring another 12 points in the fourth quarter to help close out the game. He is an elite shooter from both mid-range and three-point range. He also showed the ability to knock down his free-throws, shooting 15/16 from the line. He is not just a catch and shoot player either, as he showed the ability to knock down the three off of the dribble or to put the ball on the deck and hit a floater inside the paint. He showed multiple times throughout this game that he can score at the basket, finishing for multiple and-ones: both off of the offensive rebound and driving to the basket. During the game, he showed some sneaky handles and athleticism. On more than one occasion, he left the defender in the dust with some insane dribble moves that faked out multiple defenders. There was one play that he broke the defender’s ankles, before driving across the paint and dunking it with authority. His game expands beyond his offensive game, as he played good on-ball defense and came up with multiple steals. There is a reason why several notable schools offered him, including: OU, Oklahoma State, Memphis, and Iowa.
