Recruiting Report: Frank Foreman (2018)
2018 guard Frank Foreman is headed to West Oaks this season after spending time at Edgewater.
The 6’1″, 160-pounder averaged 10.5 points at Edgewater as he helped the Fightin’ Eagles advance to the Class 7A state semifinal before losing to Lehigh.
Foreman says his season went pretty well.
“We went farther than anyone predicted but we had a good run even though I didn’t start as a senior for half of the season,” Foreman told Prep Hoops Florida. “The part of my game that I think grew the most this year was my patience and decision making.”
He now heads to a West Oaks program where he’ll play shooting guard.
“I feel like over there at West Oaks they always seem to know what to do,” he said. “Their intensity out on the court is very high and that fits my game perfect.”
Foreman is looking to get his name out there playing for Showtime Ballers.
“I’m getting pretty comfortable with the Adidas circuit and plan on proving it. Playing for Showtime is probably like a kids dream literally, you’re getting coached by one of the best female coaches in the country,” he said. “Ms. Diana (Neal) lets you know that if you work hard then she will make it happen.
“Showtime is full of action, camera, lights and stuff but in practice, we work hard battling like we all have zero offers. Showtime is just a fun program to a part of.”
Starting his basketball life at age 5, Foreman says he always believed that he was good enough to play with anyone.
He says his biggest strength is his defense.
“I take pride in my defense when I’m out on the floor,” he said. “You never see me not give it my all on defense.”
Foreman says he is looking to create his own shot and finish through traffic more often.
He currently has an offer from FIU as well as interest from Jacksonville, UAB, Wichita State and ULB.
Taking an extra prep year will be big for Foreman. He is a consistent performer and is someone who has a high-motor. Working with Showtime Ballers this summer once again will help him improve his game two-fold. Look for Foreman to make noise this season.
