The Lions have torn through small school competition, and it’s because of seniors Andrew Parker, Andrew Powers, and Jonah Harrelson.
Parker is a 6’4 combo guard that can create plays, handles in space, score on three levels, and draw fouls. He plays hard and is a good live dribble passer.
Powers can get hot as an off-ball shooter. He runs to spots and shoots with balance, even when stopping on a dime at full speed.
Harrelson is a big 6’7 forward who rebounds, blocks shots, and has physicality on the block. He’s a bit raw but has the flashes and production worth taking a shot on.
Alex Sessoms is a spring-loaded athlete making noise out of Polk County. The 6’2 combo guard gets off the ground in a hurry, has the speed to attack downhill, and makes plays when he penetrates the defense.
Emmanuel Rislin is an interesting 6’8 combo forward out of Colonial high school. After transferring for his senior year and starting off the season dunking everything, showing off footwork in the post using his length and athleticism for defensive plays, and hitting the corner three with regularity.
Billy Heddon hit a growth spurt over the summer and changed his game to suit a 6’6 forward. He’s still adjusting to his size as far as skills go but maintained his coordination and athleticism. Heddon is a consistent right hand finisher among a crowd, is a solid rebounder, changes and blocks shots in the paint.
