1. Jaiden Dahl – Moringside 2024
Dahl is a solid scoring guard who can handle the ball and looked comfortable being the primary ball-handler and playmaker. Reads the defense well and tries to make the right play. He’s able to draw the defensive pressure and gives the ball up quickly without holding on to it for too long. He handles the ball on the break and is always looking ahead to finding breaking teammates. On off-ball movement, he comes to get the ball from teammates who have picked up their dribble. He looked comfortable creating offense and is able to shoot the midrange off the dribble. Has range out to the three-point line. Defensively, he does a good job challenging jumpers.
2. Stephen Shuffleton – Palm Desert 2023
Shuffleton is a versatile big man who has good vision and looks to make passes to open teammates after drawing the defense. He’s active around the rim and is a good rebounder; able to kick the ball back out of the post if covered on offensive rebounds. Makes good off-ball cuts to get open under the basket and good hands to catch teammates passes. Able to finish at the rim. He sets good screens is a solid roll man. Comfortable shooting the midrange jumper. He runs the floor well on the break and has a nice touch at the basket.
3. Ethan Rickett – Chadwick 2025
Rickett is a solid point guard and a good shooter. He’s quick and pushes the pace well in transition. He can also move off-ball on the break and act as a finisher at the rim or as a spot up shooter. Good catch and shoot player from three-point range in the halfcourt or as a trailer in transition. He squares up well and has a quick release on his jumper. He can put the ball on the floor too and drive in closer for a midrange jumper. Able to shoot with defenders in his space.
4. Ahmose Daniels – Wiseburn Da Vinci 2025
Daniels has the tools to be a solid big man. He has some skill and talent that just needs to be refined a little bit. He has good size and some nice footwork in the post; able to make quick spins to the basket and finishes strong. Can also hit defenders with a little reverse layup when in the paint. Does a good job using spins to move away from the defense and has a nice little jump hook. He runs the floor well in transition. He does well getting initial post position but has to do a little better in both calling for the ball more and sealing off his defender.
