It’s the perfect opportunity to evaluate prospects for the upcoming rankings. Let’s take a look at players to keep an eye out for at the event.
Saw Sherrad a few weeks ago during the Desert Reign Fall League and he did what he does. He’s a sniper that will be a key floor spacer for the defending 4A state champs.
It will be fun watching Stearman since I haven’t seen much of the forward recently. He’s a traditional low post banger that could be someone to keep an eye on for my all Glass Cleaners team.
I haven’t seen Irbe since he impressed me this summer. the PG is quick and proved to be a pesky on ball defender. Lot of turnover at Bonanza this season, looking to examine his role with the team.
Cousins is an intriguing prospect. He’s always had physical gifts, and he showed last season, that he can play a contributing role for a championship team. Lot of the Mojave roster looks improved, looking to see what areas of his game he has improved in.
Roberts was one of the top PG’s in 4A last season, and you know he’s got to be itching to lead the Bengals. He’s a smooth player that has played against some top competition both in high school and with his time with Vegas Elite.
Mcdowell is one of those Rattlers that has shown some improvement over the course of the year. It’s going to start with what he does on the defensive end, however he has flashed some grab and go ability in the past, looking to see what he brings this week.
I’ll probably get to see Mitchell a couple of times as I’m stopping by to check Cimarron out this week. He always seems to play well when I go watch him play. The speedy guard, has shown that he can finish in transtion as well as defend. The Spartans have a terrific program, and his improvement could be critical for them to make another Final Four run.
Rodriguez put on a show the last time I saw him. The quiet PG showed some tremendous 1 v 1 ability getting his own shot for his team. As we get closer to the start of the regular season, I’m checking to see how much more of a role, this team leader takes on.
Gomez is part of a trio of scorers for the Wildcats. The elephant in the room will be how the team replaces their star from a season ago, look for Gomez to help. When I went in to see him for a recent workout, he showed much improved wiggle and 1 v 1 ability. Now I want to see it play out in Live play.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen Branham. The shooter with moxie will probably be thrown into more of a leadership role this season, for the Spartans. I’m still of the belief that he and Christian Cardona Christian Cardona 5’8″ | PG Cimarron | 2025 State NV could be one of the more exciting 4A backcourts.
