Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
A familiar name in the top 10, Sajid took a bit of a tumble in our last update after a series of scattered performances in front of our staff, but has been playing like a man on a mission so far this season to put himself comfortably back on the rise. Now back comfortably among the top handful of prospects in the state, Sajid has been torching the nets as a scorer all season long, but most importantly has been doing so while putting P-W in the thick of position for a run at district and state titles. He’s learning to trust his teammates, pick his spots, and use his scoring gravity to set others up for success, doing so while also getting stronger and more explosive playing through physicality. The Towson commit has also had some nice moments on the defensive end, which will be key to any success he expects to have under coach Pat Skerry at the next level. It’s been a statement year so far for Sajid and he’s rewarded with a noteworthy bump back into the top 10.

Sajid who has been on the scene since he was an underclassmen has been one of the best bucket getters throughout his four year in high school. He looks to help guide PW to a deep state run during his final season in the blue and red after an early first round exit during his junior season. Sajid committed to Towson in July. Mani averaged 22 ppg last season as junior. He was a third team selection last season but I think Sajid makes the jump to the first team this season.

-Sajid was probably the best shot creator of the event as a fluid combo guard that excels at putting the ball in the basket. The handle has sharpened to allow him to get to sidestep gathers well off the dribble, the fluidity of his shooting motion in those sidesteps or stepbacks allows him to get the ball above his head often before the defense can react. He can really fill it up from all 3 levels, and I love that he doesn’t settle for 3s when he can pump fake or jab before getting into 1 or 2-dribble midrange pull-ups. The vertical athleticism, quickness, and back foot burst have really improved to allow him to get to his spots in the halfcourt and get off a shot attempt cleanly without being blocked.

Sajid is largely a known commodity in the area at this point, as the lanky and increasingly explosive guard has poured in buckets with impunity over the past two seasons. With size and length for the highest levels, his flashes of dynamic shotmaking off the dribble and catch coupled with developing off-the-dribble playmaking instincts have already caught eyes of college coaches and national scouts. After struggling a bit throughout the spring grassroots season, a few explosive scoring performances later this month could go a long way toward reestablishing himself across the region. His ability to make plays for others, refine his shot selection, and remain impactful in the floor game will be key determining factors in the eyes of mid and high-major coaches who have been evaluating him steadily over the past year.

It’s fair to say the season was an up-and-down one for Sajid, as the potent scorer posted consistently impressive individual numbers but struggled parlaying that into sustained team success before things came together for a triumphant run to the district title game. Sajid will look to keep that momentum rolling into the spring as he takes the trip down I-95 to suit up with Baltimore-based EYBL club Team Melo. With a vast array of tools at his disposal offensively, the lengthy guard can fill it up in a hurry from anywhere on the floor, using a blend of high-level shotmaking ability and a growing bag of counters off the dribble. The most important areas of progression as he looks to solidify his standing among high-major coaches are his defense and playmaking for others; he flashes in both areas but we’ll hope to see more consistency with less on his plate offensively this spring and summer. Sajid should benefit from the change of scenery, as there’s no doubting his natural ability and production.

In PW’s 2nd Round District playoff game win Sajid poured in 36 points. Then last night Sajid drained 4 triples on his way to 27 points. So, to say that Sajid has a hot hand of late in an understatement. When he was not draining threes, Sajid scored in transition and off the bounce in the half-court. His much-improved bag of dribble drive moves got him into the lane with ease. Sajid did a respectable job of working in pick-n-roll action too. Sajid holds several DI offers and we expect more will come pouring in this spring / summer.

The top-rated shooting guard in our 2026 rankings continues to throw up impressive scoring nights. In his last two games, Sajid has posted 22 points (2 triples) against Abington and 28 points (2 threes) versus Upper Dublin. Sajid has been a high percentage 3-point shooter for a couple of years now, but this season he has displayed a much-improved half-court game. Plus, this athletic and speedy shooting guard with hops has become a more polished open court finisher. He has flashed primary ball handler skills too. Sajid has received attention from a slew of DI coaches.

Sajid was a focal point in Plymouth-Whitemarsh’s (PA) offense. He found ways to score with ease and converted on an array of different looks. Sajid had 19 of his 28 points in the 2nd half. He made a living at the line scoring over 10 points at the foul line. He found his open teammates in the flow of the game. He had a game high 28 points with two threes. Sajid showed flashes of great ball pressure. He even made a nice block on defense. I would like to see Mani clean up his shot selection and become more efficient.

Sajid has received a handful of DI offers and after his performance on Friday night it is easy to see why. The top-rated shooting guard in our 2026 rankings hung 33 points on Wissahickon as “P-Dub” cruised to another win. Last night, Sajid’s jumper was firing from all levels as he drained 6 threes and hit several pull ups as well. Sajid’s speed and finishing skills enabled him to excel in the open court where he converted through contact. He also handed a slew of out assists on the fast break.
