Shane O’Reilly 6’3 SG of NorCal Elite 17S
O’Reilly has always had a good jump shot on the catch. He can hit consistently from mid-range all the way out past the 3pt line. The game we saw he was the primary ball handler up top, and in transition. He was looking to penetrate the paint and create shots for himself off the dribble. He pushed and passed up court in transition action. Improving his handles adds balance, and gives him the opportunity to create for himself and others.
Jake King 6’4 W/F of NorCal Elite 17S
No one talks more than King does on the court. He’s in a constant chatter on the defensive side of the ball making sure his mates know where the help is coming from. He’s a fundamentally sound prospect doing the basics of boxing out, running the court hard, diving for loose balls, by the way he’s improved his jump shot, he’s hitting 3’s in the corner, knocking down the mid-range around the free throw area with some consistency, and he has the foot work and patience to score inside.
Samuel Lupumba 6’7 F of Utah Hard Knox 17U.
He plays for Utah Hard Knox 17, but goes to Canyon Ridge HS in the State of Idaho. The muscular forward played with as much energy as anyone we saw on day one of this event. He has good hops going for rebounds out of his area. He has the length and strength to haul in quite a few. He was excellent getting offensive rebounds for put back points. He’s a shot blocker with length, and has the strength to defend in the paint, he can be a bit intimidating at times. His offense needs some polishing, but he’s a good court runner, He has a strong body, and the energy to effect a game.
Nehemia Njomo 6’4 G/F of PHPS 17
He was a solid contributor for this team. Like others on this team he adjusted quickly to the quality and level of competition. Standing 6’4 he helped on the boards, and defended multiple positions using his foot speed, and strength. He scored a couple points in the paint and he had success knocking down the mid-range jumper.
George Tupy 6’6 W/F of Los Angeles Elite 17U Premier
Tupy has carved out a name for himself while playing along side Parker Strauss. The 6’6 forward brings good energy to court. He’s just as effective running up and down the court in transition looking to throw one down with authority. He can knock down mid-range shots, he consistently hit the short corner jumpers. He has a good size body, and strength to rebound and defend in the post.
Kai Davis 6’2 PG of los Angeles elite 17U Premier
The game we saw Davis came off the bench and put the clamps on the other teams ball handlers, he was a disruptor. The foot speed, strength, and use of the hands. He’s a quality guard with the ability to knock down 3’s with the game on the line. He gets to his spots, and is aggressive with the ball.
