PG: Mason Shrout Mason Shrout 6'4" | SF Preble Shawnee | 2024 State OH All Ohio Red (Preble Shawnee)
I’ve seen Shrout on multiple occasions this Spring and can vouch that although he plays on a smaller school team, he can still play. Picking a PG is hard to do and differentiate but Shrout separates himself with his size, scoring versatility, and improved unselfishness and distribution. Shrout has already attracted some D1 attention and could see more as he continues to score the ball at a high level.
SG: Jonathan Powell Jonathan Powell 6'5" | SG Centerville | 2024 State #164 Nation OH Wildcat Select (Centerville)
Powell has had one of the biggest leaps in his recruitment of anyone in the Dayton area. First with Midwest Basketball Club and then switching over to Wildcat Select early in the Spring, Powell impressed coaches and scouts with his impressive range and volume scoring potential. The fact much of Powell’s best scoring performances were on the 3SSB circuit is a large reason why multiple HM’s including Texas A&M and Illinois have offered him.
SF: Colin White Colin White 6'5" | SG Ottawa Glandorf | 2024 State #156 Nation OH Ohio Buckets Garcia (Ottawa-Glandorf)
White has steadily been one of Ohio’s best 2024 prospects and continues to make a case for being NW Ohio’s best player title. White can fill up a stat sheet with his versatility and skill. His athleticism can be described as sneaky as he can quickly get downhill and be over the rim in a matter of moments. White arguably could be a SG at the collegiate level but multiple MM and LM programs have already offered the current SF.
PF/C: Raleigh Burgess Raleigh Burgess 6'10" | C Sycamore | 2024 State #130 Nation OH Indiana Elite (Sycamore)
Burgess has shown me a side of his game that I did not see in the District Final loss to Fairmont. At 6-foot-10 he’s clearly got the overall game around the rim. Where Burgess separates himself from other bigs is his stretching ability and quicker footwork. Burgess can knock down perimeter shots and has shown the speed and footwork I don’t typically see in bigs.
C: Tyler McKinley Tyler McKinley 6'9" | PF Winton Woods | 2024 State #78 Nation OH All Ohio Red (Walnut Hills)
McKinley is arguably one of the best prospects from Ohio in the last few years. McKinley brings an incredible frame, solid athleticism for a big, and a high ceiling of growth moving forward. McKinley is currently ranked in the Top 50 of ESPN’s 2024 rankings and has attracted attention from multiple HM programs in the Midwest.
