I’ve seen some guys dunking already who could only grab the rim a few months ago and I have seen a few players already gain a few inches in height as well. This class will be one fo those classes that has a lot fo players stock rise in the future.
6’3 PG Hunter Jackson Hunter Jackson 6'3" | PG Woods Cross | 2025 State UT || Utah Premier || Woods Cross High School || 2025 ||
Hunter is an intriguing prospect that is playing 16U right now. You can’t tell that he is playing up because he is one of the better players on the floor. Hunter seems to be playing at his own pace now as you can see his maturity and IQ are ahead of his time. He runs the floor well without the ball getting his feet set and you can see that he has worked on his footwork. In catch and stop shooting actions he has great form and a high release. When it comes to attacking the rim he has a few good moves but he really keeps it simple and that gets him to the rim. Great vision with the ball in his hands as he is not afraid to give it up early.
5’11 CG Noah Bendinger Noah Bendinger 6'4" | CG Corner Canyon | 2025 State UT || Mountain City || Juan Diego Catholic || 2025 ||
Noah had a great season last year as he surprised a lot of people with his shooting ability. He will need to take it up a notch next year as his team moves up to 5A. Noah is lights out from deep and he does a great job of moving into passing lanes so that his teammates can find him and he has been shooting better from further beyond the arc. Noah is handling the ball better this spring and not just relying on his outside shot. Really like the growth he is showing this Spring.
6’4 PG Donovan Averitte Donovan Averitte 6'4" | CG Bingham | 2025 CA-S || Syndicate || Corner Canyon High School || 2025 ||
There has been a log-jam of good guards at CCHS for awhile now that seem to be the reason we haven’t seen a lot of Donovan but this kid has game. He has a quick tempo as he has defenders on their heals at all times because he keeps defenders guessing. You never know if he is going to pull up or attack. He has some great moves going to the basket and he also has some strong finishes through traffic and contact. Good upside as he is showing a lot of what we haven’t seen from him at the high school level on the grassroots level.
6’7 F Chamberlain Burgess Chamberlain Burgess 6'9" | PF Lone Peak | 2025 State #214 Nation UT || Utah Prospects || Lone Peak High School || 2025 ||
Chamberlain is developing nicely as he is working on some foundational must haves. One thing that is very apparent is that he is willing to run the floor on the offensive end even if he doesn’t get the ball. This means he attracts a defender and he helps his teammates with those rim runs. he is rebounding the ball better on both ends and you can just see growth in his game. He’s one of those kids that just needs to stay the course.
6’5 F Wes Murdock Wes Murdock 6'5" | SF Green Canyon | 2025 UT || UBC || Ridgeline High School || 2025 ||
We were able to see Wes before he entered his freshman year and he looked raw but strong. He is putting in work this Spring and he is slowly developing a good solid game near the rim. He does the little things and he will continue to develop and grow his game.
