7A District 14 is led by Cooper City. The Cowboys are 14-5 overall led by 2022 Jake Ducharme. The 6-foot-1 guard is averaging just under 13 points per game while making 48 3-pointers. 2024 George Sterr has solid guard size at 6-foot-3. Sterr is averaging 10.5 points while collecting 6.9 rebounds per game. He is shooting a team-best 59 percent from the field. Cooper City beat #2 seed Flanagan by four points back in late January. The Falcons have a phenomenal athlete in Kemani Wilson Kemani Wilson 6'7" | PF Flanagan | 2022 State FL . The 6-foot-7 wing is versatile and can score from anywhere on the floor. In particular, I like his step back mid-range game. Wilson is averaging 12.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. 2024 Jeremy Elyzee Jeremy Elyzee 6'6" | SF Flanagan | 2024 State FL is one of Florida’s top rebounders. The 6-foot-9 forward has grabbed 13.5 boards per game while dropping 13.4 points contest. On defense, Elyzee has contributed to over four blocks and three steals per outing.
4A District 13 might be a collision course between No.1 Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian Academy and No. 2 North Broward Prep. I’m going to leave that to the side for now. The No.3 seed is Somerset Academy-Canyons led by Nick Camera. The power forward has averaged 12.4 points and 6.9 boards while recording just under two blocks per game. No.4 seed Pine Crest has a pretty good player in Isaiah Ramsey Isaiah Ramsey 6'3" | CG Pine Crest | 2022 State FL . The 6-foot-3 prospect is averaging 10.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
Westminster Academy is the top seed in 3A District 13. The Lions should be riding high after defeating North Broward Prep last week. No. 2 seed North Lauderdale Somerset Prep is a team I like. The Hurricanes have won 19 games and are led by 2022’s Deshayne Montgomery Deshayne Montgomery 6'2" | SF Somerset North Lauderdale | 2022 State FL (20 ppg) and Jaiden Miller Jaiden Miller 6'0" | PG Somerset North Lauderdale | 2022 State FL (16.8 ppg). Both players have combined for nearly ten assists and nine rebounds per game. 2023 Ricardo Corvil is averaging a team-best 14.1 boards per game (7.6 offensive). The Hurricanes lost to Westminster Academy by eight back on January 11th.
I think Hallandale is a tough team in 4A District 14. The No.3 Chargers face Carol City on Tuesday. Crafty point guard Anthony Floyd Anthony Floyd 5'7" | CG Hallandale | 2023 FL leads the way with 15.6 and 3.4 steals per game. 2023 Kirkland Sands is a nice rebounding guard with just over six boards per contest and has shot 58 percent from the field. 2022 Issac Harney has knocked down a team-best 47 3-pointers. 2022 Kareem Barnett Kareem Barnett 6'2" | CG Hallandale Highschool | 2022 State FL is a human highlight reel at wing. No. 2 University School has talent with a 16-9 record. The Sharks have two double-figure scorers in 2023 Chanon Frye and 2022 Kailon Nichols. 2022 Andruw Rondon-Delacruz Andruw Rondon-Delacruz 6'5" | PF Mater Lakes | 2022 State FL is 6-foot-8 while averaging a team-best 5.8 boards per game. Cardinal Gibbons is the top seed in this district. Overall, this is a fairly competitive district.
6A District 13 features Dwyer and their nine-game winning streak. The No. seed is led by 6-foot-2 guard Kyle McNeal Kyle McNeal 6'1" | PG Dwyer | 2023 #297 Nation FL . Also a football standout, McNeal has averaged 15.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. He is one of the best athletes in South Florida. 2022 Juwan Dawes Juwan Dawes 6'3" | CG Dwyer | 2022 State FL and 2023 Blake Wilson also average in double-figures. Could Dwyer see No. 2 seed Martin County? These two teams faced each other in January with the Panthers winning 74-69. 2024 phenom Elijah Duval Elijah Duval 6'2" | SG Martin County | 2024 #118 Nation FL might have something to say about that one. The 6-foot-2 guard is averaging just over 18 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor.
